New for 2018 The Kilmarnock Edition Performance Duncan Cotterill Stage 12.30 – 1.15pm The Kilmarnock Edition began performing as a group over thirty years ago. Audiences enjoyed their musical vocal and instrumental style and the group’s popularity grew rapidly, with four records released over the years. Their repertoire consists of mainly Scottish and Irish songs, both soulful and light-hearted, with audience participation welcomed. Their Hororata harmonies and instrumentals are a feature of their performances. Bayley’s Highland Auction Marquee Visit the Hororata Marquee near the 1.00pm, Highland Spin Marquee main ticketing gate for your Hororata Head to the Highland Spin marquee for Highland Games merchandise, a fun, fast-paced auction with Bayley’s Hororata Tartan, and, of course, our auctioneer Conor Patton. Sack Carry 11.00am, Race Track A new item on the 2018 programme is the Mahindra Sack Carry, thanks to Morrison Cars. This will be an entertaining event to watch as teams and individuals use speed, strength and tactics to win the competition. It’s as simple as it sounds: move heavy sacks from point A to point B; the fastest time wins! Don’t miss the spectacular Mace Flourishing competition, held just Mace before the Massed Bands wrap up this glorious day. Watch Aotearoa’s Flourishing top Drum Majors march, twirl and spin their maces heavenwards – it’s a riveting performance! • 1st Aid St John’s is located on the race track near the Duncan Cotterill stage • Lost Children will be taken to Event Information • Cash out is available from the rear of Event Information • Water and soft drinks are available from Tennent’s Bar and Windwhistle School • Mum’s n Bub’s can find a spot just for them near the fairground thanks to the Darfield Toy Library If you require any assistance please ask one of the Clan Hororata team or visit the Event Information.
