KidSport is a charity dedicated to removing financial barriers so national not-for-profit organization that provides grants kids aged 4 to 18 across Canada have the opportunity for children aged 18 and under so they can play a season to get off the sidelines and into the game. Pass holders relocating outside the service area may request to withdraw a six month or one year pass. Once approved, suspensions/withdrawals will commence from the date of receipt of request. A 20% administration fee will be charged for a withdrawal within 72 hours of a program start date. AFTER SCHOOL CARE Club Child Club Child is a licensed after-school child care program for children aged 5 to 12. Club Child is operated by the Fraser Valley Regional District in a fun and safe environment at Coquihalla Elementary School. Children will enjoy spending time and having fun with other children while being engaged in physical activities, games, outdoor play and arts and crafts to help them wind down after school. On Fridays, children will walk with leaders to the recreation centre for swimming. Registration packages are available at the recreation centre. The Affordable Child Care Benefit is available for families who qualify through the Province of British Columbia. For more information check out www2.gov.bc.ca. COVID-19 SAFET Y & ARENA COVID-19 Safety We are working hard to make facilities and programs as safe as possible in this time of uncertainty. We will continue to follow the guidelines and rules set by Provincial Health Orders to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Stay home when you’re sick even if symptoms are mild. If you appear to be sick, you will not be allowed entry. Respect each other's personal space and maintain physical distancing. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently or use hand sanitizer. Masks are required in the facility common areas when not engaged in physical activity. This applies to all people born in 2009 or earlier (12 yrs +). AQUATICS See page 4 for the pool schedule Red Cross Swim Levels Registration in Red Cross Swim program varies depending on age, skill proficiency, previous experience and readiness. Programs are broken down into Preschool (animals) and Kids Levels (numbers). In the Kids Levels, the minimum age is 5 years, and successful completion of the previous level is a requirement. Excercises are safe and designed to improve strength, balance, and coordination, independence and quality of life. FITNESS TEEN PROGRAMS TEEN GYM Age: 13 - 15 yrs Fee: Drop-in Are you a teen looking to get into weight lifting or wanting to learn the basics of working out in a gym environment? Come to our teen gym hours when we have a certified Fitness Attendant on staff who can help you use the machines, provide tips and tricks and provide you with a FREE orientation. First time users are required to complete a Gym Orientation Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. FACILITIES - POOL , ARENA , FITNESS DAN SHARRERS AQUATIC CENTRE RENTAL RATES: The Dan Sharrers Aquatic Centre opened on Lane Rental: September 6, 1997. The amenities offered $14/hr include a 25 metre pool with a 1 metre and 3 metre diving board, a leisure pool with spray Pool Rental: features and a rapids channel, hot tub, sauna $143.25/hr* and steam room. Large men’s, women’s, family *Includes one lifeguard and wheelchair accessible change rooms are available. Programs include swim lessons, aquafit, bronze medallion & cross, and much more! ARENA RENTAL RATES: We take pride in offering the best ice in BC! Ice Rental: With many skating and hockey programs Peak $162/hr available, winter equals fun. The arena features Non-Peak $153/hr seven dressing rooms, a central sound system, Youth $74/hr and bleacher seating. When the ice is gone (May - August), the arena Dry Floor Rental: dry floor is available for rent. Adult $41.50/hr Capacity: Youth $23/hr 800 people (table seating) 2,000 people (theatre seating) FITNESS CENTRE The fitness centre boasts a cardio room as well as a weight and stretching room. Our newly expanded cardio room features elliptical trainers, treadmills, bikes, a stair climber and a rower. The weight room has a variety of free weights including a power rack and bench press. There is also a stretching area with mats, body balls, BOSUs and medicine balls. Our fitness specialist can meet with you to create a customized fitness program. We also offer free gym orientations for new users. MEZZANINE RENTAL RATES: This versatile room serves as the main venue Not-for-profit: for most of the fitness classes offered by the $29/hr recreation centre. CANNED GOOD ADMISSION Wednesday, December 8 & 15 All Day Help stock up the food bank by bringing in a canned food item for the Hope Community Services Christmas Hamper.
