Summer@MBC 2019 Program Guide Your MBC family tradition begins here! "But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer." Psalm 66:19 (ESV) Renew · Connect · Equip
Welcome to Summer@MBC 2019 Many families have told me of their children’s anticipation of their summer time at MBC. Then they tell me that they also can’t wait to come back to build memories with their children, make new friends and drink deeply of the teaching of God’s Word. MBC is a place to strengthen families. Our vision is to help families develop the resilience that will keep them going strong when the going gets tough. We want to see families press on in difficult circumstances with the strength that a life built on God's truth can provide. Our theme this summer is ‘prayer’. My prayer for all those who visit this summer follows along with Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:16 – “that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being.” May your Summer@MBC experience help you to partake of the inner strength that God gives us from his unlimited resources! I’d also invite you to consider supporting Muskoka Bible Foundation (MBF) in funding the various teaching ministries of MBC and Camp Widjiitiwin. More information can be found on our website at: www.muskokabiblefoundation.com May God richly bless you as you enjoy time at MBC this summer. On behalf of the MBC Leadership Team and Board, John Friesen Chief Executive Officer 2

Memory Verses for the Week Pointing to Prayer Week 1: Adoration I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3 (ESV) Week 2: Salvation The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. Psalm 145:17-20 (ESV) Week 3: Revival Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation. Psalm 85:4-7 (ESV) Week 4: Protection He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. Psalm 121:3-8 (ESV) Week 5: Repentance Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned. Psalm 51:1-4 (ESV) Week 6: Thanksgiving I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. Psalm 138:2 (ESV) Week 7: Intercession You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:43-45(a) (ESV) Week 8: Guidance O Lord, I give my life to you. I trust in you, my God! Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm 25:1-2a, 4-5 (NLT) Week 9: Praise For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Psalm 96:4-6 (ESV) 30

Muskoka Bible Foundation (MBF) supports the various Kingdom focused ministry initiatives taking place at Muskoka Bible Centre and Camp Widjiitiwin. In 2019 Camp Widjiitiwin will be hosting some 350 marginalized youth from inner city communities. These young people are fully sponsored through a donation matching program with Muskoka Bible Centre and will experience a week of camp community where the gospel is shared with clarity in word and in deed. Pray with us that the seeds of God’s truth will bring salvation to many. Over 100 young people are enrolled in our Stepping Stones Discipleship experience. They will live in a Christ-centred community and serve our guests with JOY as they learn to understand the implications of the Gospel in their daily living. Over 6,000 guests, representing hundreds of families, will be encouraged through a Summer@MBC experience where the teaching of God’s Word is our centrepiece. We know that lives are changed and families are strengthened as a result of these experiences. Our financial need to support these opportunities in 2019 is $851,500. All of our ministry programming is fully supported through donations made to the Muskoka Bible Foundation. 34
