Pride Toronto 2019 Streetfair Confirmation Package Friday June 21st, Saturday June 22nd, & Sunday June 23th, 2019 Welcome to the Pride Toronto Streetfair 2019! If you are a returning participant, please read carefully as there are changes. If you are a new participant, welcome aboard and please read carefully. This package is intended to facilitate your arrival, help your operation run smoothly, and ensure a fun and beneficial festival for everyone! A shout out goes to everyone for their fully engaged support of our Streetfair year after year! The Streetfair continues to grow in size and diversify, delivering even more to our visitors from the Community, throughout the City, across the Country, and around the Globe! Terms & Conditions – High Level 1. Each day, your booth area must be clean and free of garbage. 2. Food Vendors make sure that you use the Organic (Green) Bins, and lay cardboard to protect from grease spills. 3. Your booth space must be inspected prior to your exit on Sunday June 23rd 4. All other conditions specified on the Streetfair application and 2019 Terms and Conditions have been met. 5. Booths located on Church Street and Wellesley Street, as outlined in the 2019 Terms and Conditions, all will have access to power. Power type is outlined in detail in the 2019 Terms and Conditions. If you are a Community Fair registration who has identified in your Special Requests that you have preference for power, most of these requests have been accommodated. A. Registration and Check In/Out: You will be visited by a Pride Toronto 2019 volunteer after the Pride Toronto 2019 Streetfair has opened to sign you in. Your booth space must be inspected prior to your exit on Sunday June 23rd. B. Unloading / Loading: Vehicles are not allowed inside the Streetfair. You can unload your vehicle at your booth Friday afternoon during your specified time only, but your vehicle must be removed from the road closure area before setting up your booth. *Vehicles will NOT be allowed onto the Streetfair site until we close the Streetfair on Sunday evening (during your specified time only). Pride Toronto does not provide dollies or support staff to assist you in unloading. Please be sure to keep this in mind when choosing materials to bring. You will be assigned a gate to enter the site and every attempt has been made to ensure your booth is within a reasonable distance from that point. C. If you have not figured out a layout for your 10x10 foot space, please do so before arriving. In your parking lot, backyard, a park (for example), draw out 10x10 feet and figure out your set-up. Delegate jobs to your team arriving for set-up. Everyone on your team helps unload items at your booth space, and one person drives away. DO NOT LOAD AND SET-UP ONE ITEM AT A TIME. You’re load in time is limited and your vehicle must be off the street in order to not received a traffic ticket by the City of Toronto D. Pride & Remembrance R un affecting L oad-in for Wellesley S treet B ooths ONLY – C1 – C23 rd Arrival time to unload your items and set-up is 7:00 AM Saturday June 23 . All items must be placed onto the sidewalk on the north side of Wellesley Street in direct proximity of your booth location ONLY. All your vehicles must be off the road by 8 AM. No Vehicles allowed back on the road after the Pride & Remembrance Run. The Pride & Remembrance Run is scheduled for 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (the latest). In previous years, the run can end as early as 11:00 AM. Friday Night Activation Option: You may arrive for load in at 3 o’clock PM Friday June 21st.
Vehicles will need to be off the road by 5 o’clock PM. The Streetfair opens at 7 o’clock PM and you may remain open until 1 o’clock AM (Saturday). Please use the same gate arrival information that was provided to you for Saturday morning. Your activation will need to be removed off the road Friday night and placed onto the sidewalk before you leave. This alleviates your need to arrive at 7 o’clock AM Saturday June 22nd, and return at 11 o’clock AM to prepare for the 12 noon Streetfair opening of your activation once the Pride & Remembrance Run is finished. LOAD-IN & TEAR DOWN DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS: o Streetfair Volunteers will come and visit you at your booth once the Streetfair has opened to check you in. o Please ensure your streetfair permit is visible at all times. o Vehicles must be off Church St. by 6:00 PM SHARP! o NO VEHICLES ALLOWED BACK ON THE ROAD UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 12:00 AM Monday June 24th o Tear down Sunday June 23rd at 11:59 PM – 12:45 am Monday June 24th. All vehicles must be off Church St by 12:45 AM (Monday) o Activities must stop by 1:00 AM Friday & Saturday, 11:00pm Sunday o YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY/ALL OF YOUR ACTIVATION OVERNIGHT FRIDAY/SATURDAY o You are encouraged to bring a dolly/cart to help you bring items in/out of the festival site throughout the weekend given no vehicles on the road after Friday load in. Streetfair Rules, Regulations and Guidelines Each booth site is exactly 10ft x 10ft and must be returned in pristine condition as a term of eligibility in future Pride Festivals. You must stay within your booth limits, as indicated on your booth specifics form. If you are seen overstepping the boundaries of your booth space, you will be reminded by our staff/volunteers to reposition yourself. If you do not comply, you will be removed from the site and booth fees will not be refunded. B. Motor Vehicles and Parking Vehicles will only be allowed on site during your designated times (see your welcome pack) only. Parking is not available on the Toronto Pride Streetfair 2019 site. Please be aware that all streets connecting with Church Street are for emergency use only and parking there is prohibited. Vehicles parked in these restricted areas will be towed at the owner’s expense. No motor vehicles are allowed on your booth site. C. Overnight Streetfair participants are welcome to leave their materials and display overnight Friday and Saturday in their booth space. We ask that all materials be packed up securely overnight. Pride Toronto will not be providing security services and is not responsible for any materials left on the site. We encourage you to provide someone to watch your belongings overnight. D. Items Sold Community Fair booths are not permitted to sell products, goods, services, food, or beverages.
Marketplace booths are not permitted to sell any items other than what you originally indicated on your application form. Any items found being sold which have not been approved are required to be withdrawn from items sold. If this request is not complied with, you may be removed from the Streetfair and you may not be eligible to participate in future Pride Festivals Food Vendor You are not permitted to sell anything other than food or beverages (non-alcohol). Food vendors may only sell items that were previously disclosed during the applications process. Pepsi Co Canada is the Pride Toronto non-alcohol Sponsor for 2019. You are required to carry/sell Pepsi beverages only Charcoal BBQ USE – City of Toronto policy must be followed to contain the remains of your charcoal and disposal off site from Pride Toronto’s Streetfair following correct City of Toronto waste procedures. E. Future Participation To be eligible to participate in future Pride Festivals, you must do the following: 1. Each day your booth area must be clean and free of garbage. **Food Vendors make sure that you use an Organic (Green) Bin and protect against grease spillage** 2. Your registration check out form is signed by a designated Toronto Pride Streetfair 2019 Volunteer or Staff after the proper damage inspection has been completed. 3. All other conditions specified in the Streetfair application & 2019 Terms and Conditions have been met.
