Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 01/30/2023 27000 Northwestern Door was pried Officers were dispatched to the 27000 Block of 5:00am (Hotel) open damaging Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) regarding a larceny of 2 To: 01/30/2023 the door lock. dogs taken from victims’ room this morning. 8:00am Information was developed that R/P (employee at hotel) and her boyfriend were utilizing hotel room to house five (5) dogs. Sometime on 01/30/2023 between 5:00am- 8:00am someone forced entry into the hotel room and took two of the dogs. A subject that was identified was watching the dogs and it is believed that he may have taken and sold the dogs. The value of the dogs is on the high end. Investigation is on-going. Dogs Descriptions: #1 Light gray colored with brown paws. #2 Dark gray colored. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 02/02/2023 16000 North Park Dr. Forced the door Officers were dispatched to the 16000 block of North 4:03pm (Apartments) open when victim Park Dr. (Apartments) for a family trouble. was attempting to R/P advised his stepson forced his way inside his hold it closed. apartment and assaulted him. He told his stepson numerous times not to enter the apartment, but he eventually forced his way in knocked victim down and punched him several times before victim’s dog chased him out of the apartment. He fled the scene in a Blue Ford Escape. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details From: 02/01/2023 25000 Shiawassee Rd. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim parked his 2018 Silver Dodge Charger in 3:40pm (Apartments) Manufacturer DODGE the 25000 Block of Shiawassee (Apartments). Model CHARGER To: 02/02/2023 Color SIL - Silver Sometime between 02/01/2023 3:40pm – 11:15am Vehicle Year 2018 02/02/2023 11:15am someone stole the Body Style 4D - 4 Door vehicle. There was evidence of broken glass License Year 2024 indicating that a window on the driver’s side Description Silver Dodge Charger, Broken Window on was broken out. No suspect information. Driver Side. Victim states there were personal items in the vehicle when it was taken. Michigan Driver's license, a child seat, a pair of black and gold Jordan shoes and a pair of black Nike Airmax shoes.
01/31/2023 16000 North Park Dr. Status SR - Both Stolen & Victim came into the front desk to report that 3:11pm (Apartments) Recovered his vehicle had been stolen. Victim had a party Manufacturer DODGE Model DART and there were several people at his Color GRY - Gray apartment. Victim believes that someone Vehicle Year 2013 found the keys to his vehicle and took the Description Vehicle Stolen vehicle. Victim states that his vehicle was with Keys Recovered Date/Time returned to his home on February 2, 2023, by 02/03/2023 7:15am his girlfriend. Victim reports that his Location 26000 Evergreen girlfriend's son was the one who took his vehicle. Victim is not looking to press charges. Note: When victim came into the front desk it was discovered that he had a warrant out of Southfield 46th District Court for Fraud. He was taken into custody processed and lodged. From: 01/30/2023 27000 Northwestern Hwy Status I - Information Only Officer was dispatched to the 27000 Block of 3:00am (Hotel) Manufacturer DODGE Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel), on 01/30/2023 Model CHALLENGER To: 01/30/2023 Color BLU - Blue 8:30am for an Attempt UDAA. 4:00am Vehicle Year 2022 Victim states she parked her 2022 Blue Dodge Body Style 2D - 2 Door Challenger in the parking lot at hotel. Description: Blue Dodge Sometime on 01/30/2023 between 3:00am- Challenger 4:00am someone broke out the passenger side window and went through the vehicle. Victim does not believe anything was taken. No suspect information.
02/01/2023 30000 Southfield Rd. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim came into the station to report his 11:24am (Commercial- Auto Repair) Manufacturer GMC vehicle was stolen on 02/01/2023 at 11:24am Model NEW SIERRA Color SIL – Silver Victim stated he had vehicle trouble and Vehicle Year 2006 parked it in the 25000 Block of Southfield Rd. He called for roadside assistance. The vehicle was towed to Automotive Repair Business in the 30000 Block of Southfield Rd. The keys were left in the vehicle. The vehicle was stolen at some point after being dropped off. No suspect information. From: 02/03/2023 25000 Shiawassee Rd. Status SR - Both Stolen & Victim parked his 2014 Gold Jeep Grand 10:00pm (Apartments) Recovered Cherokee, in the 25000 Block of Shiawassee Manufacturer JEEP To: 02/04/2023 Model GRAND (Apartment Complex). 10:00am CHEROKEE Sometime between 02/03/2023 10:00pm and Color GLD - Gold the following morning at 10:00am someone Vehicle Year 2014 stole the vehicle. There was evidence that a Body Style UT - Utility License Year 2023 passenger side window had been broken out. Description: Gold Jeep No suspect information. Grand Cherokee Recovered Date/Time 02/05/2023 11:30am Notes: Black 22" rims, broken passenger's side window.
02/05/2023 21000 W Ten Mile Rd. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim states he parked his 2018 Black Dodge 1:45pm (College Campus) Manufacturer DODGE Durango in the 21000 Block of W. Ten Mile Rd. Model DURANGO Color BLK - Black (College Campus) Vehicle Year 2018 Officers met with security and reviewed their Body Style 4D - 4 Door surveillance video of incident. State MI License Year 2023 On 02/05/2023 at 1:45pm a Silver Dodge Description Black 2018 Dodge Durango Charger parked behind victims Black Dodge Durango. An unknown black male, slim build is observed breaking the rear driver side window of the Durango and going headfirst through the broken window before climbing into the driver's seat and starting the car. Another unknown black male, thin build, is seen exiting the rear passenger seat and getting into the driver's seat of the Charger. Both vehicles are then seen on security video exiting the college campus. The suspect vehicle is a newer model Dodge Charger scat pack with a wide body, grey in color, with black rims and dark tinted windows. Victims’ vehicle was recovered by DPD on 02/06/2023 at 12:05am. Officer recovered the vehicle in the City of Detroit with the steering column all intact. There was an improper plate on the vehicle. It was also reported that the vehicle had been used in a carjacking in Detroit.

R/P (Owner’s son) reports that his mothers 8:30pm (Apartments) Manufacturer CHRYSLER 2012 Chrysler 300 was parked in the 27000 Model 300 To: 02/05/2023 Color WHI - White Block of Franklin Rd. (Apartments). 6:15am Vehicle Year 2012 Sometime between 02/04/2023 8:30pm and Description: the following morning at 6:15am someone White Chrysler 300 stole the vehicle. No suspect information. Victim states on 02/05/2023 at 3:09am he was 3:09am Description: alerted by his ring doorbell system. Victim Misc. Spare Change was taken. looked outside and saw a subject pulling on his neighbor’s car door. Further review showed the same suspect pulling on car doors on vehicle at his residence. Victim discovered that some loose change was taken from the center console of his 2005 Ford Super Duty Pick Up Truck. The suspect was described as a male dressed in all black and having a black bag hanging from his shoulder. From: 01/31/2023 23000 Greenfield Rd. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim parked his 2009 Cadillac DTS in the 5:45am (Medical- Dialysis) Description: Catalytic Converter 23000 Block of Greenfield Rd. (Dialysis) on was taken from 2009 Cadillac To: 01/31/2023 DTS. 01/31/2023. Sometime between 5:45am- 10:30am 10:30am someone cut off and stole the catalytic converter from the vehicle. No suspect information.
From: 02/01/2023 20000 Camden Sq. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victims 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was 10:00pm To: (Apartments) Description: 2- drivers side parked in the 20000 Block of Camden Sq. Wheels & Tires were taken from 02/02/2023 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. (Apartment Complex) 6:30am Sometime between 02/01/2023 10:00pm and the following morning at 6:30am someone stole the two drivers side Wheels & Tires from the vehicle. The two passenger side wheels were partially removed but were still present. No suspect information. From: 01/31/2023 23000 Coach Light Dr. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim parked his 2007 Cadillac Escalade in the 9:30pm (Apartments) Description: 23000 Block of Coach Light Dr. Handgun was taken from vehicle. 02/02/2023 22000 Newport St. Status S - Stolen/Etc. R/P (victim) got a call from his father who was 11:18pm Description: 2-3 Packages at work and received a ring notification on his containing Toys & Balls for children were taken. phone. R/P’s father observed two suspects getting dropped off by an SUV unknown make or model in front of their house in the 22000 Block of Newport. The suspects were observed going through R/P’s mother’s vehicle. (2018 BMW) Officers reviewed video of incident. Two males were observed running from the SUV (suspect vehicle) parked in the street. Suspects ran up to the BMW that was parked in the driveway. One male wearing all black opened the trunk and started going through it. The other male wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and dark shoes opened the driver side door, got in and started going through the center console. The garage motion light came on and both suspects fled from the vehicle and were last seen heading S/B Newport St. on foot. R/P stated prior to officer's arrival he saw a Dark Colored Kia SUV in the area driving up and down the street. Possibly related.
From: 02/02/2023 22000 La Seine St. Status S - Stolen/Etc. Victim parked his 2010 Chevy Express Van, in 3:00pm (Condo’s) Description: Michigan License the 22000 Block of La Seine St. (Condo’s). Plate was taken from 2010 Chevy To: 02/05/2023 Express Van. Sometime between 02/02/2023 3:00pm- 2:00pm 02/05/2023 2:00pm someone stole the license plate from the vehicle. No suspect information. 02/05/2023 24000 Rutland Ave. Status A – Attacked Victim states his 2015 Black Ford Escape was 3:03am Manufacturer FORD parked at his residence in the 24000 Block of Model ESCAPE Color BLK - Black Rutland St. Victim advises he observed on his Vehicle Year 2015 camera an unknown male with a large rifle, Body Style SW - Station Wagon possibly an AR-15, was walking on Rutland and State MI License Year 2023 Lee St. The person went into his vehicle & Description: 2015 Black Ford Escape rummaged through it. He then walked south on Rutland. Nothing appeared to be taken from victims’ vehicle. Southfield Police Detectives reviewed the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Any citizens that observe this video. From: 02/02/2023 29000 Laurel Woods Dr Status A - Attacked Victim states she parked her 2020 Ford Fusion 3:30pm (Apartments) Manufacturer FORD in the 29000 Block of Laurel Park Dr. Model FUSION To: 02/03/2023 Color SIL - Silver (Apartment Complex 8:30am Vehicle Year 2020 Sometime between 02/02/2023 3:30pm and Description: Ford Fusion the following morning at 8:30am someone broke out the glass to the sunroof, entered vehicle and ransacked the vehicle. Nothing appears to be missing from the vehicle. No suspect information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 02/04/2023 16000 North Park Dr. Status S - Stolen/Etc. On Saturday 2/4/2023 several Officers were 2:38am (Apartments) Description: Coach Purse, dispatched to the 16000 block of North Park Dr. Debit Card, & iPhone 12 Pro. (Apartments) for a robbery that just occurred in the parking lot. Victim states her son went outside to the eastside parking lot where her vehicle was parked to start it. Approx. 10 minutes later she went out to her vehicle to leave. She observed suspect vehicle, a dark older blue or black model van, possible an Astro van parked next to her vehicle. Victim did not feel right about it, but she continued to her vehicle. As she was getting into her vehicle, she heard someone walk behind her vehicle and come up behind her. She then heard a male tell her to turn around. As she complied, she observed suspect, a thin build, light skinned male wearing a mask pointing a gun at her and tell her to drop her purse or he would shoot her. She said he stated several more times to drop her purse, so she dropped it on the ground and set her cellphone down on a vehicle next to hers. The suspect picked up her cell phone and purse and fled back to the suspect vehicle which was being driven by another unknown suspect. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn’t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition
Unarmed Robbery: 02/03/2023 29000 Northwestern Status SR - Both Stolen and Several Officers were dispatched to the 29000 4:14pm (Commercial- Food) Recovered Block of Northwestern Hwy. regarding a fight. Description: Wiko Android Cellphone & a R/P stated there was a b/m wearing a gray Black Backpack. jogging suit, beating up another male on the Recovered Date/Time sidewalk in front of business. While in route 02/03/2023 6:30pm dispatch received a call from the victim stating Location: 26000 Evergreen Rd. the suspect fled in a Black Cadillac. The suspect >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> was his App. Driver that was following him Status S - Stolen/Etc. around and then jumped him for his money. Description: Black Leather The victim had several injuries to his face and Wallet & Cash. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> head and was transported to the hospital for treatment. He was later listed as stable with a head concussion. The suspect App. Driver later came into the front desk and returned victims Backpack & Cell Phone. Cash & victim’s Wallet were not returned. Suspect (App. Driver) advised that he picked victim and his girlfriend up and was driving them to West Bloomfield PD to pick up some property. While in route the victim and his girlfriend got into an argument and the female requested to exit the vehicle. She was dropped off at 10 Mile & Telegraph. When the female exited the vehicle, she threw something at the App. Drivers vehicle. The App. Driver got out of his vehicle and observed damage to the side of his vehicle. The male told the App. Driver that he would pay him a sum of money that was agreed upon for the damages. The App. Driver took victim to his bank where he went inside to get the money. So,
the App. Driver thought? The victim was in the bank for an extended period. The App. Driver became suspicious after receiving a phone call from an unknown person stating the victim had left the bank. He also discovered that money was missing from his center console and believed that victim took it when he got out of his vehicle to check for damage to his vehicle. The App. Driver advised he confronted victim as he was attempting to walk away from the bank. The victim swung at him, and he ducked and avoided the punch and did what he had to do. The App. Driver did not go into any detail what he did to victim. He did make admissions to taking victim’s backpack. The suspect was taken into custody for Unarmed Robbery. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Special Attention: Disorderly Conduct OWI= Operate While Impaired Several Arrests at High School. OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics 02/01/2023 1:33pm LFA= Larceny from Auto 24000 Block of Lahser Rd. R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property (High School) DWLS= Driving with Suspended License Officer (School Resource Officer) advises February 1, A&B= Assault & Battery 2023, around 1:30pm during lunch, he observed a CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct group of male students along the walkway of the CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon lunchroom/commons pushing and in the beginning NOLOP= No Operator License on Person stages of fighting. Officer ran to stop the active R/A= Robbery Armed aggression. As he approached students, he observed RNA= Robbery Not Armed School Security Guards helping another Officer PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver separate all parties. Arriving to the area within PPO= Personal Protection Order seconds, the number of students grew larger. Officer PBT= Preliminary Breath Test attempted to control students and was bumped by R/P= Reporting Party surrounding students all fighting and throwing VCSA= Violation Controlled Substance Act punches. The number of students grew larger due to class change and several students were fighting. Officer yelled to all to stop fighting or you will be tased. One student was tased and a second student was warned and complied to stop fighting. These two students were taken into custody by Officers. Several other students continued to be disorderly, came at Officers in a threatening manner and refused Officers orders. In all a total of seven students were arrested and charged with Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. They were all booked and turned over to their guardians/parents.
Note: All arrested students have also been CSC/ Domestic Assault/ Resisting & Obstructing- 1- Arrest suspended by the school. There were several 02/04/2023 2:03am students that were involved in the brawl that were 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. not arrested. Investigation is on-going to identify (Hotel) these other students. On 2/4/2023 at approx. 2:00am several Officers were dispatched to the 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) for a CSC Investigation. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the female victim. Victim was distraught and uncooperative at first. She had a swollen bloody bottom lip, swollen forehead, a bald spot on the right side of her head and both of her arms were heavily bruised. The room had significant damage including multiple broken mirrors, broken television, and damaged furniture. Officers observed clumps of hair throughout the room. Victim stated that her boyfriend assaulted her, damaged their hotel room, and forcefully sexually assaulted her. Victim stated her boyfriend, left prior to officer's arrival. Suspect vehicle information was given over the radio and Officers conducted an area check for the vehicle. On 02/04/2023, Officer observed a black female and a black male (purple coat and dreads) enter a Blue Ford Focus on the south side of hotel where incident took place. Officer confirmed that the vehicle was the suspect’s vehicle. Officer confirmed that the suspect was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Additional Officers responded and the vehicle was stopped on Northwestern Service Drive and Phillip St. The suspect resisted arrest and refused to exit the vehicle. Officers used the necessary force to effect the arrest. The female driver of the vehicle was released on scene. The suspect was taken into custody for 1. CSC III, 2. R&O on PO, 3. MDOP less than $1,000, 4. Domestic Violence.
Special Attention: R&C Motor Vehicle/ Fleeing & Eluding- 1- Arrest Armed Larceny from Vehicle Suspect: 02/04/2023 11:28pm Incident Information: W Eight Mile Rd. & Telegraph Rd. Date: 02/05/2023 On 02/04/2023, Officers received information regarding a vehicle that Time: 3:03am had fled from them a day earlier. The suspect vehicle had just fled Location: 24000 Block of Rutland Ave. from Redford Police Officers and may be headed towards Southfield. Victim states his 2015 Black Ford Escape was parked Officer was patrolling along the border between Southfield and at his residence in the 24000 Block of Rutland St. Redford when he located the Dodge Charger (suspect vehicle) traveling Victim advises he observed on his camera an W/B on 8 Mile Rd at Telegraph Rd. Officer advised dispatch of his unknown male with a large rifle, possibly an AR-15, location, the license plate, and informed them this was the same was walking on Rutland and Lee St. vehicle Redford pursued today and Southfield Officers had pursued The person went into his vehicle & rummaged yesterday.
