hadewe Vaporizing Spray System
Spray Handpiece
hadewe offers a fine spray system, which is unique on the podiatry market. We use a compressor
system and a complex nozzle technique, which allows the spray to come out in a fine vapor (mist)
that can be controlled to the smallest degree. Other companies often use a different „pumping
system“ where the spray jet is rather rough and comes in erratic intervals (much like a garden
tube). This „flooding“ process leads to patient and podiatrist becoming unnecessarily wet. With
the hadewe Vaporizing Spray System you have full control of the spray amount and can evenly
spread the finest vapor over the treatment area.

Powerful Suction Technology
The hadewe suction technology is powerful and efficient. Most of our handpieces have a point
or side suction, which is located at the side of the handpiece. The exact positioning of the point
suction has proven to be more effective in our tests than the round suction, since it is concentrated
directly on the spot where the instrument is used. Although if you prefer a round suction, we also
have that for many models. Both technologies guarantee a clean and hygienic work process.

Optimum Illumination
Some of our handpieces are equipped with light function. The powerful LED ensures the optimum
illumination of the treatment space. We are not only offering light for the spray handpieces, but for
suction as well. This is possible, because our light is bright enough to let you see through vacuum
dust.

Power Clamping System
Power Clamping System
The handpiece is equipped with a unique, patented clamping system. A chuck will open
inside the handpiece by pressing the well-known hadewe knob forward. The instrument
can now be entered into the unit without any resistance. This is especially important with
smaller, sharp edged tools, since they can cause injury, if you need too much force to enter
an instrument.
Pushing the knob back again will close the chuck, and the tool will be held very secure, even
at high speeds. The tight grip also ensures the low-vibration running of the handpiece for
which hadewe is famous. Conventional clamping systems with automatic clamping work with
a mechanism in which rolls inside the handpiece wedge the instrument under pressure.
At these systems it is not possible to enter the instrument without resistance.
The handpieces with automatic clamping are also more sensitive to small deviations of tool
tolerances. This will lead to higher vibration and poor holding force. That is why the power
clamping system is superior in many ways.
1 2 Ultra-Silent High Performance Suction
Suction Turbine
According to customer surveys a silent suction is one of the most important criteria to
buy a podiatry drill. The motor itself, as well as the quality of sound damping are important
factors. The use of different kinds of insulating material makes it possible to reduce
a wide spectrum of noise. After all, neither a high frequency squeaking nor a dull humming
should disturb your treatment.
Regular suction turbines are working with so called brush motors. The brushes are grinding
on the turning engine shaft, and this wears them down. This conventional technology has
been successfully implemented a thousand times. However, it has the disadvantages of
high brushes attrition as well as a larger and heavier construction. The suction turbine imple-
mented in the newer hadewe models (for example Medeas, Auroria and Veloria) is based on
a technology without brushes. This method is also used in modern computer ventilators for
example. The advantage is less attrition and significantly less weight.

Cleaning & Maintenance
A simple and fast maintenance of the most basic components is one of the important
qualities of the hadewe handpieces. The chuck can be easily removed with the spanner tool
delivered with every unit. Loosen the top of the handpiece, and then turn out the chuck. The
whole procedure takes less than one minute.
M Filter Classification M
The filter bags 5179 are classified as class M filters by the BIA (Germany’s Health and
Safety Institute for the work environment), meaning they have a dust retention capacity of
99,9%. We also offer conventional paper filters 5115 for our older models, but these are not
to be used with the newer silent units.
Touchscreen
The modern touchscreen display is making work very comfortable for the podiatrist. You
have access to pre-selected memory settings and the manual directly on the display. Help
videos describe the most important functions (filter exchange, handpiece cleaning, etc.), and
individual files (for example treatment pictures) can also be saved and shown.
Optional Foot Switch
Most of our units have an optional foot switch available. You can switch the units on and off
by keeping the switch pressed, and further change between pre-selected memory settings,
if applicable for the individual unit.

The Medeas is available with 2 different handpieces. The main difference is the shape and the way of inserting the burs.
The following list gives you a guidance which handpiece is the best for your purposes.
The Plus handpiece uses the superior hadewe clamping system, which holds tools strong at even high speeds of 40.000 rpm, and prevents instru-
ments from slipping out. The Chrome handpiece uses the market common automatic clamping system, which has a smaller handpiece, but is best
used at speeds only up to 30.000 rpm to ensure that tools hold tight and are not negatively influenced by small deviations.
