Plum Park is a family-run boutique hotel and exclusive-use wedding venue set in rolling Northamptonshire countryside. If you are looking for a private and relaxed country house atmosphere then Plum Park will definitely be worth considering for your wedding day. We can generally work with most budgets, particularly if you have flexibility on date.
Plum Park is an approved venue for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies. We can comfortably seat in excess of 150 guests for a silver service wedding breakfast but are equally happy catering for intimate celebrations. Our chef will design a bespoke menu to suit your taste.
The Victorian manor house has been lovingly restored to its former glory while the courtyard has been sympathetically converted into elegant guest accommodation. Formal gardens, terraces and a permanent all-seasons (heated and air-conditioned) marquee ensure that you have ample indoor and outdoor space to entertain your guests. You and your guests are assured of a warm welcome, exceptional levels of service and fine cuisine on your wedding day.

Civil Marriage & Partnership Ceremony Plum Park is an approved venue for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies. There is a choice of rooms available for your ceremony depending on guest numbers. Hall (seating capacity: up to 24 guests) Conservatory (seating capacity: up to 90 guests or 100+ guests if using the adjacent room also) Marquee (seating capacity: 150+ guests)
The cost of hosting your civil ceremony at Plum Park, including room set-up, chairs and red carpet is £149.00 if using the Hall or Conservatory and £199.00 if using the Marquee. If you would like to hold your ceremony outside in the Gardens, please ask for further details. You will also need to arrange and pay for the Northamptonshire Registrars to perform the ceremony.
Menus Our chef will be happy to design a bespoke menu to suit your taste, but you will find some sample menus on the following pages to whet your appetite. We are happy to cater for most styles of cuisine as well as special dietary requirements. Subject to guest numbers, indicative catering costs inclusive of VAT at 20% are as follows: Canapés (served with your reception drinks): - Canapés: £1.75 each or the Chef’s selection of 5 for £7.50 per guest Daytime menus (including a quarter bottle of House Wine and a glass of Prosecco for the toasts): - Wedding Breakfast: £44.50 per guest - Carvery & Buffet: £41.50 per guest - Barbecue & Buffet: £39.50 per guest - Afternoon Tea: £34.50 per guest - Children’s Menu: £17.50 per guest Evening menus: - Finger Buffet: £13.50 per guest - Free-range Hog Roast carved on the spit: £12.50 per guest (subject to a minimum of 100 guests) - Beef Burgers & Chips: £11.50 per guest - Pizza: £10.50 per guest - Fajitas: £9.50 per guest - Bacon & Sausage Baps: £7.50 per guest Outside Caterers: We do not normally permit outside caterers as we wish to ensure the quality of all food and service on your wedding day. Menu Tastings: We host tasting afternoons approximately every 4 months (usually on a Sunday). The cost of the tasting is £50.00 per person and this includes Champagne and canapés on arrival, a selection of starters, mains and desserts from our sample wedding breakfast menu and a glass of House wine.

Accommodation In addition to the Bridal Suite, we have 11 rooms available to your guests on the night of your wedding. Most of our rooms can be configured as either doubles or twins and several of them can accommodate families. All of our rooms are non-smoking. Event Booking Terms & Conditions All events held at Plum Park are booked subject to the following terms and conditions. Please ensure that you understand these terms and conditions as they form part of a legally binding agreement between you and us. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions or the agreement between you and us, please ask us before you sign the Event Booking Agreement. 1. Definitions Unless the context requires otherwise: 1.1 “Plum Park” means Plum Park, Watling Street, Towcester, Northants NN12 6LG. 1.2 “We” “Us” and “Our” refers to Plum Park Hotel Limited T/A “Plum Park” and “Plum Park Hotel” registered under company number 06546805 and whose registered office is at 40 Hillfield Road, London, NW6 1PZ . (“the Company”) and any company of which the Company is a subsidiary and any subsidiary of the Company from time to time. 1.3 “You” and “Your” refers to the event organiser(s) named on the Event Booking Agreement. 2. Booking 2.1 Any booking that you make with us will be treated by us as provisional and may be released by us at any time prior to you receiving written confirmation of your booking from us. 2.2 We will not send you written confirmation of your booking until we have received your completed and signed Event Booking Agreement and initial deposit in cleared funds. 2.3 For the avoidance of doubt, we are under no obligation to accept your booking. 3. Initial deposit and payment schedule 3.1 We require an initial deposit shown on your Event Booking Agreement at the same time as you return your completed Event Booking Agreement accepting our Quotation. 3.2 Your initial deposit is non-refundable unless we do not accept your booking or we cancel your booking pursuant to clause 7.3 (including its sub-clauses) below. 3.3 You agree to pay us an interim payment of 50% of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it by no later than 12 weeks prior to the date of your event. 3.4 You agree to pay us the balance of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it by no later than 10 working days prior to the date of your event. 3.5 You agree to pay us any difference between the final cost of your event and the total amounts received from you in respect of your event prior to your departure from Plum Park after your event has finished. 3.6 We reserve the right to require an additional deposit from you at any time before or during your event if you request and we agree to provide drinks or other goods or services on account to you or your guests. 3.7 The initial deposit due under clause 3.1 above can be paid by bank transfer (preferred), banker’s draft, cheque, cash, debit card or most major credit cards but all further payments due under clauses 3.3, 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6 above and clause 3.8 below may only be made by bank transfer (preferred), cheque, banker’s draft, cash or debit card. 3.8 You agree to pay us a surcharge at a rate of 2% per month on all outstanding amounts from the date that payment became due. 4. Cancelling or postponing your event 4.1 If you need to cancel or postpone your event, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. 4.2 If we receive your written notification of cancellation or postponement 365 days or more before the date of your event, you agree to pay us 30% of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it. 4.3 If we receive your written notification of cancellation or postponement between 180 days and 364 days before the date of your event, you agree to pay us 60% of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it. 4.4 If we receive your written notification of cancellation or postponement between 91 days and 179 days before the date of your event, you agree to pay us 80% of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it. 4.5 If we receive your written notification of cancellation or postponement 90 days or less before the date of your event, you agree to pay us 90% of the estimated total cost of your event as shown on our Quotation or any subsequently agreed revision to it. 4.6 We will invoice you for any cancellation or postponement charges and you agree to pay these charges within 14 days of our invoice date. 5. Changes to your booking 5.1 Your completed and signed Event Booking Agreement confirms your acceptance of our Quotation for your event, however, we appreciate that you may wish to increase or decrease the number of guests or make other changes to the arrangements for your event. 5.2 Our Quotation will include the estimated number of guests and the estimated total cost of your event. 5.3 Any change to the estimated number of guests or other arrangements for your event may affect the cost per head and/or the total cost of your event. 5.4 Subject to operational constraints and at our discretion, we will try to accommodate your reasonable requests for changes up to 72 hours before your event. 5.5 If we can accommodate your requested change, we will send you a revised Quotation. 5.6 We will not make any change to your event until you have accepted our revised Quotation in writing. 5.7 We will not be under any obligation to agree to any changes that alter the estimated number of guests and/or the estimated total cost of your event by more than 5%. 6. Guest accommodation 6.1 Plum Park has a limited amount of overnight accommodation available on the night of your event and you are strongly recommended to book this at the same time that you return your Event Booking Agreement as our policy is to accept room reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. 6.2 If you book accommodation on behalf of your guests, their room charge and any goods or services charged to their room must be settled by them before they check-out but you will be responsible for payment in full in the event of non-payment, cancellation with less than 14 days’ prior written notice or no-show. 6.3 Guests may check into their rooms from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and must check out by 11.30am on the day of departure. 6.4 Guests may not smoke or consume any food or drink in their rooms. 6.5 Only registered guests are permitted in the rooms. 6.6 All accommodation bookings are subject to our Accommodation Booking Terms & Conditions.
7. Our right to cancel or terminate your event 7.1 We may cancel or terminate your event at any time prior to or during your event if: 7.1.1 Your event may prejudice the reputation of Plum Park. 7.1.2 You or your guests cause loss or damage to or threaten to cause loss or damage to Plum Park or the property of other guests. 7.1.3 You or your guests threaten or are physically or verbally abusive to any member of our staff or other guests. 7.1.4 You or your guests behave in any unacceptable manner and fail to comply with any reasonable instruction given to you or your guests by our management. 7.1.5 You are in material breach of any term of the agreement between you and us. 7.1.6 You fail to make payment in accordance with clauses 3.3 through 3.6 above. 7.1.7 You become insolvent or, in the case of an individual, become subject to a bankruptcy petition and/or you are unable to pay your debts as they fall due whether to us or to any third parties. 7.2 If we cancel your event pursuant to clause 7.1 (including its sub-clauses) above we will have no liability to you but you will remain fully liable to us in respect of all amounts due under clauses 3.3 through 3.6 above and clause 6.2 above. 7.3 We may cancel your event at any time prior to your event if: 7.3.1 Plum Park or any part is closed or unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. 7.3.2 We become subject to a bankruptcy petition and/or we are unable to pay our debts as they fall due 7.3.3 We sell, transfer, close or otherwise dispose of Plum Park and/or our business. 7.4 If we cancel your event pursuant to clause 7.3 (including its sub-clauses) above then we will refund your initial deposit and any payments on account but we will have no further liability to you. 8. Use of Plum Park and its facilities 8.1 The function rooms and facilities agreed for your event are available to you, your guests and your third party contractors during the times indicated on our Quotation and any subsequently agreed revision to it. 8.2 You, your guests and your third party contractors must vacate any function room or area and remove any personal belongings and/or equipment within 30 minutes of the scheduled finish time of your event. 8.3 All food and drink consumed at your event must be supplied only by us unless it is with our prior written agreement whereupon we may charge you a corkage or similar fee. 8.4 Where a per bottle corkage fee is agreed, it will be applied to all bottles brought to Plum Park irrespective of whether or not they are actually opened or consumed at your event; any unopened bottles will be returned to you but the corkage fee on such bottles will not be refunded. 8.5 For the avoidance of doubt we operate a zero tolerance policy with respect to clause 8.3 above and anyone observed breaching it will be asked to leave your event immediately and will not be re-admitted. 8.6 The only exception to clause 8.3 above will be for a sponge or fruit wedding cake or other celebration cake but we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the storage and/or consumption of the cake at Plum Park. 8.7 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 8.8 Whilst we encourage you and your guests to enjoy the gardens and grounds at Plum Park, please note that you and your guests do so at your risk and we draw your attention to the hazards associated with the pond, wells, buildings, roads, foot paths, gardens, grounds and the like. 8.9 Entering the dog kennels or any area marked as private or staff only is dangerous and strictly prohibited. 8.10 Chinese lanterns are strictly prohibited. 9. Liability and insurance 9.1 You agree that the event organisers named on the Event Booking Agreement are jointly and severally liable to us for your obligations under the agreement between you and us. 9.2 We recommend that you arrange sufficient insurance to cover your financial obligations to us under this agreement, for example, if you cancel or postpone your event. 9.3 Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our liability to you, your guests and your third party contractors is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in respect of your event. 9.4 We do not accept any responsibility for loss of, damage to or theft of your, your guests’ or your third party contractors’ property, including gifts and equipment, left at Plum Park or for vehicles parked at Plum Park. 9.5 We reserve the right to evacuate Plum Park or any part of it in the event of a fire alarm or other emergency and we do not accept any liability whatsoever for any delay or disruption to your event caused by such evacuation, irrespective of whether it is a genuine emergency or not. 9.6 We will not be responsible for the failure to provide facilities, goods or services contracted for where we are prevented from doing so as a result of "Force Majeure" or any other cause beyond our reasonable control. This includes industrial disputes, staff illness, orders or regulations issued by government, riots, floods, fires, epidemics and building works or redecoration at Plum Park. 9.7 You are responsible and liable for the behaviour and actions of your guests and your third party contractors at all times whilst they are at Plum Park. 9.8 You agree to pay for any loss or damage to any part of Plum Park or to any fixtures, fittings, furniture, contents, linen, glassware, crockery, cutlery, equipment, gardens or the like caused by you, your guests and your third party contractors. 10. Third party contractors and equipment 10.1 You must notify us of all third party contractors that you propose to use at your event and obtain our written permission before instructing them. 10.2 If you are considering having fireworks at your event, please ask us for our current Fireworks Terms & Conditions before arranging them as additional terms and conditions will apply. 10.3 We require all third party contractors to agree to our Third Party Contractor Terms & Conditions before they will be permitted to supply any goods or services at Plum Park. 10.4 You agree to ensure that any third party contractor engaged by you complies fully with our operational requirements, including any noise restrictions that may be in force from time to time, as well as all applicable laws and regulations, including the requirement for Public Liability Insurance. 10.5 If you wish to use your own equipment at your event, you must ensure it has been tested and is safe to use. 10.6 We do not accept any liability for any equipment that you or your third party contractors bring to or use at your event. 10.7 We reserve the right to charge you an electricity surcharge for equipment used at your event by you or your third party contractors. Bouncy castles and similar equipment will be subject to a minimum electricity surcharge of £20.00. 10.8 If you ask us to book a third party contractor, such as a master of ceremonies, on your behalf, you authorise us to act as your agent for the purposes of the booking and pay the contractor on your behalf. 10.9 We do not accept any liability for goods or services provided by any third party contractor but you agree to reimburse us in full and immediately upon demand for all disbursements made on your behalf under clause 10.8 above. 11. General 11.1 All prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated in the Quotation. 11.2 We reserve the right to amend the price of your event upon 14 days’ written notice to you in order to reflect any change in cost beyond our reasonable control. 11.3 We reserve the right to substitute facilities, goods or services of equal or greater value at no additional cost to you. 11.4 You confirm that you are not acting on behalf of someone else and that the agreement between you and us is not assignable by you without our prior written consent. 11.5 We will not accept any variations to the agreement between you and us unless they are agreed in writing. 11.6 If any court or competent authority determines that any provision of these terms or the agreement between you and us is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, the provision will, to that extent only, be severed from the remaining terms and/or agreement between you and us, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law. 11.7 No person who is not a party to the agreement between you and us will have any right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of the agreement between you and us. 11.8 The agreement between you and us will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
