EVENTS Lacey Cultural Celebration Presented by: SATURDAY • MARCH 12 • 10 am – 6 pm SAINT MARTIN’S MARCUS PAVILION AND ONLINE! Savor the sights and sounds of the world without leaving Lacey! Share the heritage and cultures of our community at the Lacey Cultural Celebration, an event for the entire family! This year will be bigger than ever as we bring the world to you. Arbor Day Tree Give Away FREE E V ENT S APRIL 9 • SATURDAY • 10 am – 1 pm* HUNTAMER PARK • FREE The City’s annual seedling giveaway is back for 2022! It’s part of Lacey’s Tree City USA designation and a great opportunity for residents to pick up new trees for their yards. We will have a variety of tree species available. The seedlings, up to three feet tall, are limited to one per person, so bring the entire family! First Aid CPR Class (12+ yrs) Learn valuable “basic lifesaving skills” during this one-day program covering personal safety, blood-borne pathogens, choking, all levels of CPR, and other essential topics. This program provides a 2 -year certification for infant, child, and adult first aid/CPR and meets L&I and DSHS child care requirements. Class covers, but does not certify, AED. Bring a sack lunch. Taiko Drumming (16+ yrs) Taiko, the art of Japanese Drumming, is now available to you! If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play the big drums, now is your chance to give it a try! This is a physical activity that requires the ability to stand for an hour and flex and stretch. No experience needed for the beginning class, and drums provided. We will use River Ridge High School’s practice drums and play on the rawhide drums during the final class. Toddler Explorations (18 mos. – 3 yrs) This class offers fun new experiences for your toddler! Theme -based activities include stories, crafts, sensory play, songs, and games that will have you both up and moving as we learn about the world around us, together! Each session includes different activities. Parents must stay to assist. SPORTS & FITNESS Gymnastics Recreational Gymnastics through Black Hills Gymnastic (18 mos – 12 yrs) The goal of our recreational gymnastics classes is to give families an affordable and safe opportunity to experience the benefits of gymnastics. The professional staff at Black Hills Gymnastics emphasize safety, fun, building coordination, confidence, and basic skills.
