HEALTH WORKING GROUP UPDATES The group discussed current caseload of COVID-19 and vaccination drive across the country. Organizations' shared updates related to their COVID response activities and experiences with getting vaccines. On members’ suggestion the meeting frequency is changed to monthly basis. The next meeting is scheduled on 6th July 2021. PHF WEEKLY BULLETIN I N T H E L O O P PHF EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION PHF Chair Excom and Country Coordinator attended the launch of Paksitan HRP, 2021 on June 3rd, 2021 at OCHA office, Islamabad. The 2021 Pakistan Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) was launched today at a joint event hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations in Pakistan. The Plan seeks to highlight the main humanitarian needs, share the efforts and steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to handle these challenges in collaboration with the UN and other partners, and set out a well-coordinated and inclusive plan of action to respond to the needs of the people. The HRP is holistic, with a multi-sectoral approach covering the themes of health, education, protection, food security, shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and refugees. The HRP focuses on supporting the needs of around 4.3 million people in Pakistan including refugees, facing a series of overlapping emergencies, including extreme weather events and the COVID-19 pandemic. PHF Chair Excom gave a presentation on PHF Geographically, the Humanitarian Response Preparedness and Contingency Resource Plan focuses on 81 prioritized districts.
