Please use one registration form per shooter. Peace in the Valley will be held rain or shine June 17 - 21, 2020. Preregistration required. Entry deadline is May 22, 2020. Refund requests for cancellations must be received prior to May 31, 2020 and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Absolutely no refunds will be made for requests after May 31, 2020. The Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers reserve the right to refuse any application. Must be a current SASS member to shoot. SASS presents . . . “Peace in the Valley” The North Dakota & South Dakota State Championships June 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2020 Waiver The sport of Cowboy Action Shooting consists of shooting targets, many of which are steel, with live, all lead, ammunition. Participation in this sport is done so with the knowledge that shooting firearms in inherently dangerous and it is impossible to guarantee completely, that occasional lead splatter will not enter the shooting and spectator area. Every precaution is taken by the Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers to make this a safe sport; however, we cannot be responsible for injuries or property damage caused during shooting matches or practice. All participants and observers must wear hearing and eye protection during the match or practice while there is gunfire. The club is not responsible for personal injuries, damage to vehicles, equipment, firearms or clothing. Unsafe behavior, improper use of firearms, failure to obey safety instructions, use of alcohol or drugs (illegal or performance hampering prescription), or failure to respond to any safety command will result in an immediate call of cease fire until the situation is rectified. HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION IS MANDATORY Read and Initial! Appeal Process In the event a shooter wishes to appeal a ruling, the following steps will be taken: contact Range Master, Cousin Roy, before leaving the stage where the incident occurs to file the appeal and pay the $100.00 appeal bond. The Jury will hear from the shooter and any other pertinent parties and a decision will be made based on the information heard and knowledge of the rules. All appeals will be heard and the shooter notified of the results the same day. In the event the ruling is upheld, the appeal bond is forfeited. Otherwise the bond will be returned to the shooter. Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers Range The physical address of the range is: 13320 55th St SE Enderlin ND 58027 Directions to Range from Enderlin: Drive west out of Enderlin on Highway 46 approximately one mile Turn south on 133rd Avenue and drive 1 mile. Turn east on 55th Street and drive about ½ mile The range is on the north side of the road Area Camping and Lodging The Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers invite you to dry camp at our range. Available electrical hookups at the SVP Range are very limited and reserved on a first come first served basis for those with medical issues. To minimize problems to our electrical service, air conditioning may not be used unless run off generators. Other camping facilities within 17– 38 miles of the SVP range: Enderlin Oehlke Ave Camper hookups (not campsites) Water, electricity and sewer. Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers Camping Rules 1. Long-term camping is available for working members with the approval of the Board of Directors and/or the landowners. 2. Weekend camping is available for shooters on a first come-first served basis. When you arrive at the range, please check-in so you can be assigned a camping spot. 3. A limited number of electrical hook-ups are available on a first come-first served basis, with preference going to those with medical needs. The fee for these sites is $10 per weekend, $15 during the State Championship or $100 per season for long-term campers. 4. There is no garbage service—whatever you pack in you MUST pack out. We would appreciate it if you would refrain from putting glass, metal, or other non-burnable materials in the fire rings. 5. No generators after 10:00 pm or before 7:00 am. 6. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets. 7. Fires must be in designated fire rings, fire pot, or similar enclosure. Please do not cut trees for firewood. Any downed material may be used or you can ask for firewood that has been precut. 8. Children under the age of 12 may not operate motor vehicles (including motorcycles, ATV’s, UTV’s, or golf carts) unless accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. 9. Motorized vehicles may be used during shoots if medically necessary. Please try to keep travel between your vehicle and the line or on gravel surfaces only. No use of 4-wheelers after 10:00 pm. 10. Firearms must be put away before your first beer is cracked or bottle uncorked. Neither the Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers club, its board or general members, nor the landowners are responsible for damages to campers parked at the range or damage to or loss of contents. All campers parked at the range and personal belongings are left at your own risk. Updated March 2019
