The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Guide & Directory The Chamber of Commerce invites our business members to purchase advertising space in the 2019 Blowing Rock “Visitor Information Guide & Directory.” Our directory features a comprehensive list of member hotels, attractions, restaurants, shopping and services, as well as a calendar of events and articles on Blowing Rock history, entertainment, recreation, event information and much more! Our directory has been the #1 most asked for free publication the Chamber produces. Over 20,000 of the new guides will be distributed through the Blowing Rock Visitor Center, all N.C. Welcome Centers, handed out at trade shows and available through our lodging partners. They will also be mailed to each person who contacts the Chamber requesting information on Blowing Rock. Our Chamber organizes several major events each year to drive tourism and boost the local economy. We are proud to say that we help bring an additional 35,000 people to Blowing Rock each year. Funds from our festivals help offset membership costs, to keep our dues low for members, and all have components that benefit our area charities. Event Sponsorship
January 24-27, 2019 www.blowingrockwinterfest.com The mission of Blowing Rock WinterFest is to showcase the spectacular array of winter activities and the beautiful landscape of North Carolina’s Prettiest Small Town. 3,000 attendees each year Audience Demographics: Locals, second home residents, visitors from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh and Greensboro are the primary markets, followed by visitors from Tennessee, Virginia and South Carolina. The typical Blowing Rock visitor tends to have higher than average income and educational level and is a discerning traveler. Most are between the ages of 35 and 65 years of age and take part in an active lifestyle. Beginning in 2005, the Blue Ridge Wine and Food Festival had become one of the premier wine and food events in North Carolina, celebrating the joys of food, wine and spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Savor Blowing Rock expands this tradition. Events range from bacon tasting to gourmet fare, wine, craft beer, and distilled spirits seminars for beginners and connoisseurs. Located in downtown Blowing Rock, this prestigious event is a six month series of juried outdoor fine art & craft shows for which hundreds of artists apply each year. Thousands of visitors flood into the town of Blowing Rock to view and purchase one-of-a-kind works. More than 35,000 attendees are expected through the season each year. July 26, 2019 www.symphonybythelake.com The Symphony by the Lake at Chetola has long been considered the centerpiece of the summer season in Blowing Rock. Each year, almost 4,000 attendees assemble on the surrounding lawn to enjoy music, food and drinks under the open sky. An opening band entertains the crowd before the main symphony perfor- mance. A spectacular fireworks display serves as the grande finale. The event was chosen as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society. The Symphony by the Lake at Chetola has become a must-do event of the summer season for all residents and visitors. It can also be the highlight of the year for your business! There are many sponsorship op- portunities available. Participation at any level offers a wonderful evening and an opportunity to meet and greet new friends, clients and contacts.
