P-MAX Maximise Your otential A Place-and-Train Programme for Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians
ABOUT P-MAX Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form 99% of all enterprises in Singapore. In today’s highly competitive business environment, a critical success factor include the recruitment and retention of talent. P-Max is a programme under the Workforce Singapore’s (WSG) Adapt and Grow initiative that aims to: • Help SMEs to better recruit, train, manage and retain their newly hired Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) • Enable SMEs to establish better communication channels between supervisors and staff and to adopt progressive Human Resource (HR) practices (e.g. goals setting, performance management) for newly-hired PMETs within their SMEs • Assist newly hired PMETs to better acclimatise to the new SME work environment and to encourage better retention of PMETs in SMEs > P-MAX OPTIONS P-MAX FOR P-MAX P-MAX LITE OLDER WORKERS2 SMEs hiring PMETs (Age 50 SMEs hiring PMETs or Non-hiring SMEs keen on & above) or recently hired a WHO IS IT FOR? recently hired a PMET in PMET (Age 50 & above) in improving HR practices the last 3 months the last 3 months WORKSHOP Up to 90% funding Up to 90% funding Up to 90% funding FUNDING support from WSG support from WSG support from WSG SUPPORT ASSISTANCE One-time $5,000 One-time $10,000 – GRANT Assistance Grant1 Assistance Grant1,3 1 Upon successful retention of the newly-hired PMETs for at least 6 months after completion of both the SME and PMET Workshops and endorsed by Programme Manager. 2 For P-Max for Older Workers, PMET must be a Singapore Citizen aged 50 or above. 3 Companies that have completed P-Max/Max Talent previously will only receive $5,000 under P-Max for Older Workers.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA > For SMEs > For PMETs • Be registered or incorporated in Singapore • Be a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident who is keen to pursue a full-time career in an SME7 • Be made up of at least 30% local shareholding • Possess educational qualifications that are Diploma • Have an annual sales turnover of not more than or higher, or employed/have prior work experience $100 million or employment size not exceeding in a PMET position 200 employees • Completed National Service for a minimum period • About to hire or hired a PMET within the last 3 of 12 months or graduated from a tertiary institution months (i.e. 90 days) prior to enrolment into programme, offering a gross monthly salary of at least $2,5006 Not applicable for P-Max Lite 6 For P-Max for Older Workers, PMET must be a Singapore Citizen age 50 or above. 7 WORKSHOP With support from WSG, the following Programme Managers have been appointed to administer their respective programmes under P-Max. ASME SNEF / SMF / WAF 3 -DAY PMET WORKSHOP 2 -DAY PMET WORKSHOP 1 -DAY SME WORKSHOP 1 -DAY AGE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP8 8 For P-Max for Older Workers only. > TRAINING SUPPORT Some of the curriculum covered in the P-Max workshop to build Human Capital capabilities are: • Managing workplace relationships • Goals setting • Performance management • Age management best practices
