FROM OUR SPONSORS Dear OutNEXTers, Welcome to the OutNEXT Alumni Summit 2021 Report. As the Global Sponsor of the OutNEXT Program, the team at RBC would like to thank you all for joining the first- ever OutNEXT Alumni Summit. The discussion and feedback have all been wonderful to hear and we are truly thrilled to have had such impressive speakers share their thoughts and vision on how emerging LGBTQ+ leaders can continue to develop their careers. RBC’s emerging LGBTQ+ leaders have actively participated in every OutNEXT Summit since we joined Out Leadership as a member firm 8 years ago and we’re proud to have served as the Global OutNEXT Sponsor for the past 3 years. It’s been wonderful to watch the evolution and growth of the OutNEXT program to what it is today. When the program first launched in 2013, 75 emerging LGBTQ+ leaders from 29 companies participated. Fast forward to the OutNEXT Alumni Summit last month where 780 leaders from 366 companies attended. Over the past two years leaders from RBC have become even more involved with the OutNEXT program with members of our RBC PRIDE Capital Markets ERG participating on OutNEXT speaker panels during the 2020 Summit and moderating live breakout rooms at last week’s Alumni Summit. At RBC, diversity & Inclusion is more than just a strategic priority, it’s an imperative that is central to our purpose of helping clients thrive and communities prosper and a pillar of our values. We are committed to advancing a culture that embraces and respects the LGBTQ community, and we recognize that our business is only at its best when our employees feel welcome, supported and included. Equality is fundamental to both who we are and how we do business. We hope you enjoyed the Summit in April. In case you missed any of the sessions, this post-Summit report from the Out Leadership team will show some of the numbers behind the event as well as how you can now re-watch all your favorite sessions, or any you missed.
