This summer our next generation of local budding artists are doing the same. Year nine and ten students from seven local high schools (pictured) are designing new artworks to be painted onto the walls and ceilings of the Tonkin Tunnel. This is part of a seven-week TAFE course organised by Council and local artist Tim ‘Phibs’ who will be unleashing his own creative talents on a mural outside the tunnel to compliment the students work. The new tunnel artwork will be complete by the end of January 2018. sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au | Our Shire 5
