BELIEVE FOR SOMETHING NEW IN 2022! By the time you receive this newsletter, you are well into 2022 and working to keep the resolutions that you listed on the first of January. I am a planner by nature and it has been helpful through the years to keep me focused but the Lord has been doing a new thing in me the months before the New Year rolled around. As I pressed into Jesus, the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 explained what I was experiencing. Judy Graham Here's what that passage says: "But it is written: President, 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Celebration Women's Nor have entered into the heart of man, Ministry, Inc. the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man (or woman) knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." There is still time to start a With all the things that had been coming against us from the world and the enemy, I would pray every morning that the Holy Spirit would order my steps Bible reading and give me direction for that day. What I discovered was that what I had "planned" would get changed many times, but what turned out was more program for effective and beneficial not only for me but for what the Lord purposed for the year. It will others that day. Taking "one day at a time" is critical, as we trust in Him to keep us from getting overwhelmed. be life The Holy Spirit who dwells in you is your constant companion, comforter, changing! counselor, helper, advocate, intercessor, strengthener, standby, and Spirit of Truth. He will give you the wisdom for every one of your days, not the wisdom of this age, nor of the wisdom of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding us every day for your purposes in our lives in 2022. Love you, Judy 2 | Celebration Women's Ministry
WELCOME BACK TO THE NATIONAL BOARD Tina Cropper! Hello Celebration Sisters! I have the honor and privilege to return to the role of VP of Special Events for Celebration Women's Ministry. Over 20 years ago, I was blessed to be a part of the first information meeting. Those that attended that meeting were so excited to hear about a new ministry that emphasized salvation, healing, and equipping for women. Over the years, I have started numerous chapters including Onalaska FUMC, Dickinson FUMC, and restarted Westbury UMC. I have been involved in the Celebration Prayer Ministry, taught prayer in Leadership Training, been a District representative, and I was President Judy Graham's administrative assistant. My husband Keefe and I have served in the Methodist Church for 34 years. We just retired from Quitman UMC at the end of January. We now live in Spring, Texas north of Houston. In recent years, Keefe and I have served in overseas missions. Keefe ministered in Tanzania, Africa. I have served in Albania, Taiwan and Guyana, South America. We celebrated our 38th anniversary on February 11 and we have two grown sons, Michael and Stephen. We are proud of the young men they have become. They are precious gifts from God! Meet Our Youth Leaders! DEBBIE BASS Debbie worships with her husband, Jim, at Friendswood UMC, where he is the Senior Pastor. She leads a Sunday School class and serves in Friendswood’s R.E.A.L., the church’s women’s ministry. She has been attending Celebration for many years and has served on the Celebration youth team for over five years. Debbie & Jim have two sons and two wonderful daughters-in-law. Jeremy serves as the associate pastor at Kingwood UMC and his wife, Erika is a talented artist and prayer warrior. Jason & Maggie Bass serve at Huntsville UMC where Jason is the worship leader and Maggie is the children's ministry director. Debbie is a 6th grade science teacher for Pasadena ISD and she likes to spend the day in her hammock reading. ERIKA BASS Erika moved to the Houston area in 2020 with her husband for his appointment as an associate pastor at Kingwood UMC, which they love! She has a passion for art and creativity, and has been blessed to be able to see the Lord at work through that. Her personal favorite creative outlets include illustration, knitting, paper crafts, fiddling with clay, and baking (although that last one has more to do with eating delicious dessert than actually successfully executing something pretty)! Last year was her first time leading the youth portion of Celebration National Conference and she had a wonderful time! Erika is so happy to be able to return this year and she is looking forward to seeing God at work! 4 | Celebration Women's Ministry
