School Chaplain / Retreat Programme “The new Chaplain has already had a significant impact on the spiritual and daily lives of the pupils” - Section 48 Inspection 2015 Leads liturgies with the pupils and staff giving pupils a deep sense of belonging to a Catholic Community Available to advise pupils, and the chaplaincy room is open to pupils at break and lunch. Classes attend the Parish Mass on a rota. The Chaplain also accompanies pupils on retreats. All Year Groups have the opportunity of experiencing a retreat. From a day or a residential retreat at Kintbury,Whitstable or Aylesford. Retreats enable pupils some time away from the academic world and engage in reflection within a spiritual environment providing them with a holistic approach to their education.

Admissions Policy
Criteria for Admissions (page 2 and 3) 1. Looked after Baptised Catholic children*, Baptised Catholic children who were in care but since have been adopted or become subject to a residence order or special guardianship order. (Evidence of guardianship/residency must be provided) 2. Baptised Catholic children from committed Catholic families with siblings in Years 7 to 11 who are on roll at the school at the time of admission ** 3. Baptised Catholic children from committed Catholic families 4. Other Baptised Catholic children 5. Supplementary Information Form (SIF) On the advice of the Education Commission of the Archdiocese of Southwark the governing body of St Ursula's Convent School has agreed the following statement in order to clarify how its faith-based oversubscription criteria will be interpreted whilst churches are closed or attendance at church is not possible due to COVID19. This statement has been shared widely with parishes in order to ensure that determinations made by parish priests concerning regular practice of the faith are being made on a consistent basis. The suspension of the obligation to attend Sunday Mass was announced on 18th March 2020 by Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. If a parent/carer attended Mass at particular parish (or parishes) prior to 18th March 2020 then they will be considered to have attended Mass in that parish (or parishes) regularly since that time.This will remain the case until the Sunday obligation is reintroduced by the Bishops
