We appreciate the incredible service they offer every single day. “I have a great team who work very hard,” said Susan Hall, manager of Environmental Services. “They honestly take pride in what they do, and I am lucky to work with them.” The staff celebrated together during their special week, but we want to be sure to show our appreciation of them, as well! Scrip Sale Coming Soon with New Vendors Added Gift cards to many local and national vendors will be available during the SOMC Scrip Sale, which will take place from 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7 to 11:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Employee Flu Vaccines: Deadline for Compliance Set for November 30 Flu vaccines are now available in the Employee Health and Wellness Office (Waller 307A). Fall Solstice Yoga on the Lawn Set for September 26 Join Tina Chabot for Fall Solstice Yoga on the Lawn on September 26 at 6:30 p.m.! The event will take place on the lawn in front of the Main Campus (in front of the fountain). Join Tina to celebrate the fall solstice where the time when the sun crosses the plane of the earth’s equator, making night and day of approximately equal length all over the earth for a 90-minute yoga flow. Bring your mat and enjoy this evening of relaxing stretching and live music that will rejuvenate your body and soul. The event is free and all are welcome. Weight Watchers at Work Kick-Off Meeting Set for October 4 Join your peers at the Weight Watchers at Work Kick-Off Meeting on Friday, October 4 in the Education Building Room 4! Weight Watchers emphasizes they allow participants to lose weight, build healthy habits with a support system that fits their life. Participants are requested to arrive at 1 p.m. for weigh-in, and the meeting will run from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. The 12-week program will cost $132.60. Those interested in joining the program must attend the kick-off meeting to be eligible for payroll deduction. A total of $11.05 will be deducted for 12 pays. 15 or more participants are needed in order to continue the workshop at SOMC. This series will run from October 4, 2019 to January 3, 2020.
