Welcome From the Center for Leadership & Engagement DEAR PARENTS, FAMILIES, AND GUESTS: Welcome to Family and Friends Weekend! It is our pleasure to welcome you to Simmons University and the wonderful city of Boston. Fall is a beautiful time of year in New England. We’re so glad that you will be joining us for a weekend full of fun activities. Families and friends play an essential role in the lives of our students. We know that you provide valuable support to your students when times are difficult and are among the first to congratulate your students on their many successes. We know that you still— and always will—provide great comfort to your student, offer helpful advice, and are an essential part of your student’s achievements at Simmons. We also know that your students can’t wait to show off their school and city to you! Family and Friends Weekend is deliberately placed at a time in the semester when students often need to reconnect with familiar faces from home and are beginning to feel a bit anxious about upcoming midterms. Happily, they also want to take you to their new haunts, introduce you to their friends, and bring you to exciting campus events. Boston is a college town without compare and fall is the perfect time to take full advantage of all there is to offer. We look forward to seeing you on campus throughout the weekend and in the coming year ahead. Warmly, Renique Kersh Vice President for Student Affairs
