Event Calendar 2020
At Kurumba we never miss a chance for a party or
celebration. Here you’ll find details of our planned
early-year festivities, as well as look ahead to 2020.

January
06 Jan : Orthodox Christmas
Orthodox Christmas is a special time to be together with
family, friends and good food. An extensive buffet will be on
offer in Thila with a focus on fresh seafood, live food
stations and ambient music.

25 Jan : Chinese New Year
We will celebrate the Year of the Rat, with a sumptuous
Chinese / Asian buffet in Vihamanaa Restaurant.

February
14 Feb : Valentine’s Day
For guests wanting to celebrate with their special Valentine,
exceptional dinner menus will be on offer in a romantic
setting in the dining outlets.

March
08 Mar : International Women’s Day
On this day women are recognized for their achievements
without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic,
linguistic, cultural, economic or political. A number of
activities will be organised for lady guests to commemorate
this special date.

April
06 - 17 Apr : Easter Celebration
A special dinner buffet will be served in Vihamanaa
Restaurant. During celebrations kids can enjoy egg hunt,
arts & crafts and afternoon party in Majaa Recreations
Karaoke as just some of the additional activities.

22 Apr : Earth Day
Earth Day is a day year on which events are held worldwide
to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth's
natural environment. Join our team for a number of
eco-friendly activities.

13 Apr - 23 May : Ramadan
A special Iftar and Sohour buffet during the Islamic month
of Ramadan is prepared where guests can gather to break
their fast together (special menu also available with In
Room Dining)

23 May : Eid-Al-Fitr
Enjoy a celebratory Eid-al-Fitr feast (buffet) at Vihamanaa
restaurant, to mark the end of fasting period of the Islamic
month of Ramadan.

June
06 Jun : World Ocean Day
On World Ocean Day, people around the world celebrate the
ocean, which connects us all. Join us as we protect our
shared ocean today!

13 Jun : Global Wellness Day
Wellness Day in Kurumba Maldives brings together exercise,
healthy eating and fun activities and dedicated to raise
awareness of “good living”.

July
31 Jul : Eid-Al-Adha
In the occasion of the Holy Eid-Ul-Adh’ha, we will have a
special Eid buffet in Vihamanaa Restaurant.

September
19 Sep : World Clean-Up Day
Join us on this global social action programme aimed in
combating the global solid waste problem which includes
marine debris.

27 Sep : World Tourism Day
Join us for a range of activities across the resort to
celebrate the World Tourism Day.

October
03 Oct : Kurumba’s 48th Anniversary
Celebrate Kurumba’s 48th Anniversary with us and enjoy a
wide range of fun and activities throughout the day!

31 Oct : Halloween
A fun day and evening for both kids and adults! Enjoy many
activities throughout the day, plus a special buffet in
Vihamanaa restaurant.

14 Nov : Diwali
Join us to celebrate the so-called “Festival of Lights” with a
special buffet with Indian cuisine influence in Vihamanaa
restaurant.

24 Nov : International Children’s Day
Join us in promoting awareness about children’s rights,
togetherness and improving children’s welfare.

December
23 Dec 2020 - 07 Jan 2021 : Festive Season
Throughout our festive season, we have a full range of
programs, activities, recreation and entertainment for both
adults and children. This complete program will be released
and updated during the year.

24 Dec : Christmas Eve
We will serve a scrumptious seafood buffet dinner along
with a live cooking station on this special night.

25 Dec : Christmas Day
Enjoy a Christmas lunch at Vihamanaa Restaurant from
12:00 - 14:30hrs. Look out for the many activities we have
put together, especially for you.

31 Dec : New Year’s Eve Gala Evening
Pre-dinner cocktail, followed by a sumptuous seafood buffet
with numerous live cooking stations, lavishly spread in Thila
Restaurant. The real party begins at the 2021 countdown
party at Kandu Bar. Be entertained by our fabulous live band
and DJ as they play the latest and greatest hits, whilst we
countdown to the New Year. The theme for the evening is to
be announced closer to the event.
