So, if you’re a foodie and enjoy cooking for others, why not make a career of it? This programme will teach you all the skills you need to do just that. The NZ Certificate in Cookery [Level 3] Marae Based introduces students to a career working in commercial kitchens. It develops initial skills and knowledge to work safely with the main food ingredients using basic preparation techniques and cookery methods, as part of a team. Practical learning will be in a local marae with possible master classes in EIT’s commercial production kitchens. Graduates from this programme could go on to higher level catering and hospitality programmes. The levy is to contribute to the provision of quality student services that support learning. The funds received by EIT from the levy are ring-fenced, meaning they can only be spent on student services. STUDENT LOANS AND ALLOWANCES StudyLink is a service of the Ministry of Social Development.
