Nolet Family USA Relief Program In this time of the pandemic, Nolet Family USA Relief Program wants to make sure they will do the help for many of you. They will be providing relief in the form of eVouchers to nationwide retailers to help supplement groceries and other much-needed essentials for those currently out of work that were employed by a bar or restaurant with a full liquor license (beer, wine, and spirits) on a first- come, first-served basis. Once a month, unemployed food & beverage hospitality workers will be able to apply for relief. Limit one registration per person per month. If approved, participants will receive a total of $50 in relief that will come in the form of one (1) monthly $50 eVoucher, to be redeemed at a nationwide retailer, to help supplement groceries and other much-needed essentials. Approved participants can expect to receive an email within 7-14 business days after applying to contain the eVoucher. As employment status can change, participants will be required to reapply to the program on a monthly basis to be considered for ongoing relief on a first-come, first-served basis. Clean Energy Competition The pressure to responsibly produce the energy the world requires in an environmentally conscious way is greater than ever. Considering the amount of the world’s energy supply that is still derived by environmentally harmful methods, change cannot come soon enough. Ultimately, innovative, and unique concepts related to clean, sustainable, and accessible energy are the solution. STEAM at Siemens Energy invites you to participate in this Clean Energy Competition to make a change. Competition structures: Phase One: Idea Submission (Open until May 31st) 10 finalists will be selected based on published judging rubric and awarded $1,000 USD each! These finalists will move forward to participate in Phase 2 of the competition which requires a prototype development and presentation

Businesses that employed 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees (FTEs) and had gross revenues of less than $2.5 million or below in 2019 are eligible to apply. The loans are flexible, transparent and are designed to help businesses access the capital and advisory services they need to get through these challenging economic times.
Note, this program is not associated with the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or any other SBA program. The loans are not forgivable in part or whole. The loans will need to be paid back over a 3- or 5-year term with a fixed annual interest rate that is currently 4.25%. Not all businesses will be matched with a participating community lender based on each lender’s initial criteria. If matched, you will be connected with a local community lender, which will be a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). The community lender will work with you on your full loan application. If approved, the loan will be made through that community lender and you will continue to work with them throughout the life of your loan. Eligibility The business must have employed 50 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) employees prior to March 2020; please note: any and all affiliates are counted in this total, including businesses with shared ownership; The business must have had gross revenues of less than $2.5 million in 2019; The business must have suffered a direct economic hardship as a result of COVID-19 which has materially impacted operations (as evidenced by at least a significant reduction in revenues since January 2020); The business must have returned to or sustained, for at least one-month, at least 30% of pre- COVID revenues relative to a similar period in 2019; The business must have demonstrated positive net income in 2019 (not including depreciation and amortization expenses); The business must have been in operation since at least June 30, 2019; The main office or headquarters for the business must be in California. The loan must be used to support only a business’s California operations. Benefits The maximum available loan amount is $100,000 or up to 100% of your business’s average monthly revenues for three months prior to the COVID pandemic outbreak (in 2019 or early 2020), whichever is less. The maximum loan amount available under this program is $100,000.

Adapt & Thrive Program Adapt and Thrive is part of the £25m Community and Third Sector Recovery Programme announced by the Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government on 2nd September 2020. The program forms part of the wider Scottish Government Third Sector response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Adapt and Thrive Programme aims to support organizations across the third sector to adapt to the challenges presented by COVID-19 and build back better to thrive in the future. It supports organizations to reflect on their current operations and determine which areas need to change, flex, innovate or grow in order to be resilient and financially sustainable during and post COVID-19. The program is delivered in partnership with Firstport, Corra Foundation, SCVO, Just Enterprise, Community Enterprise, and Social Investment Scotland.
On 24 February the Scottish Government confirmed additional investment for the Community and Third Sector Recovery Programme, which will allow Adapt and Thrive to continue until the end of June 2021. Adapt and Thrive offers tailored, specialist advice, as well as grants and loans. The advice is designed to help organizations to build recovery plans that are flexible, allowing them to stay open, respond to the planned easing of restrictions or adapt quickly to any changes in guidelines or tier levels whilst working towards financial sustainability. The funding is unrestricted so it can also adapt around the needs of the organization. Eligibility Adapt & Thrive is open to charities, community groups, social enterprises, and voluntary organizations and operating primarily in Scotland. If your organization also operates outside Scotland, you must demonstrate that most of its operations and beneficiaries are in Scotland. Benefits All organizations eligible for the program can apply for an interest-free loan to meet the aims of the Adapt and Thrive program. Assessment of applications will primarily be based on an organization’s ability to service debt. Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant The Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant provides fully funded grants to hospitality, fitness, and accommodation businesses impacted by the March 31, 2021, Provincial Health Officer (PHO) orders and April 23, 2021, Emergency Programs Act (EPA) order. Grants are fully funded and do not have to be paid back. The grant amount is based on a number of B.C. employees or contracted staff. You can use the grant for expenses like: Cost of perishable food loss Employee wages Insurance Maintenance Rent and utilities
Eligibility All hospitality, fitness, or accommodation businesses that partially or fully closed to comply with the March 31, 2021 PHO orders and April 23, 2021, EPA orders are eligible. A business must have been in operation and registered as of February 1, 2021. Qualcomm Design in India Challenge 2021 The Qualcomm Design in India Challenge – 2021 is a continuation of the initiative by Qualcomm that was started in 2016 to encourage design houses and product companies to invent useful and innovative hardware product designs incorporating Qualcomm chipset platforms and technologies. It has been inspired by the tremendous potential of Smart Devices and products that can be built in the domains of Smart Infrastructure, Biometric Devices, Medical Technology, and Rural IoT. For 2021, the challenge also includes 5G use cases and applications that use NavIC capability on mobile devices enabled with NavIC feature. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society, Qualcomm is glad to offer support to India’s technology ecosystem through the Qualcomm Design in India Challenge 2021. In its sixth edition, with this design challenge and partnering with Startup India and AGNIi, Qualcomm continues to spur the domestic hardware ecosystem which will positively impact the product ecosystem of design and enhance the manufacturing facilities in India. Eligibility Individual startup companies that demonstrate Hardware and Embedded design experience. HW design proposals must be focused on one of the domains – 5G Applications and NavIC use cases, Smart Infrastructure, Medical Technology, and Rural and Industrial IoT – regardless of the form factor of the product. Shine Program in Bratislava Together with Swiss Re, Pontis, and BOOKBRIDGE, Shine program is launching the first edition in Bratislava, which will support next-generation social innovators in translating their ideas and solutions into scalable business models to maximize social impact. The program is looking for early- stage entrepreneurs with a presence in Slovakia, who are trying to address challenges in the areas of Climate-Smart Agriculture, Access to health, Environmental Sustainability, or Economic Inclusion. The innovators will go through a six-month immersive nurture program during which they will be partnered with Swiss Re experts and leadership & business coaches to develop a financially feasible and scalable business plan that can have a tangible social impact. In addition, at the end of the Shine Program, one selected innovator stands a chance to win a financial award of up to 20’000 EUR to fuel their growth. IETF Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization Studies, Spring 2021 Organizations can apply for a share of up to £40 million to carry out feasibility and engineering studies into energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies for industrial processes. IETF Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization Studies, Spring 2021 competition aim to support feasibility and engineering studies necessary to enable an investment decision in energy efficiency and deep decarbonization solutions. This is the second round of the IETF Phase 1 competition. IETF will award up to £40 million across 2 strands. These are: feasibility and engineering studies (this strand) deployment projects In this strand, you must be an industrial business of any size to apply. You can apply on your own or
in collaboration with other organizations. Your project must take place at a manufacturing site or data center in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland and be led by the operator of that site. The other competition strand, IETF deployment of energy efficiency technologies, Spring 2021, will fund projects that deploy energy efficiency technology. The IETF is a Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) fund. Innovate UK is delivering part of this competition on behalf of BEIS, which is a joint sponsor. Following the assessment of applications, the awarding, contracting, and monitoring of projects will be delivered by BEIS. Eligibility Your project Your project must: start by 01 July 2022 end by 30 June 2024 up to 12 months if it is a feasibility study up to 24 months if it is an engineering study The end-beneficiary of the study must be a single manufacturing site or data center in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland. You can include multiple projects within your application but you must make sure: all projects are located at the same eligible site all individual elements are eligible If you are submitting multiple studies, they will assess your application as a single submission. If you want to apply to conduct studies across different sites, you will need to submit one application for each site. Commitment to knowledge sharing You must consent to produce a case study for knowledge sharing during your project. It will be made publicly available so should not include any commercially sensitive information. Lead organization This competition is aimed at businesses that use energy or produce direct emissions as a result of their industrial processes. Industrial processes here refer to a set of economic activities as defined by the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC). Businesses are allocated a SIC code at the time of registering at Companies House. You will need to check your business SIC code to make sure you are eligible. For this competition your business must fall into the following categories of activity: manufacturing 10(000) through to 33(200) data center 63(110) If you are a parent company with a SIC Code which does not reflect the activity carried out at the
site of the proposed project, please email ietf@innovateuk.ukri.org with your organization’s details, project locations, and a brief outline of your project. An example of this would be where a data center is owned by a telecoms company. They will work with you to establish whether the activity at the site is eligible for this competition. To lead a project or work alone your organization must also: be a registered business of any size in England, Wales or Northern Ireland be the manufacturer or data center operator at the site that is the focus and end-beneficiary of the study. A site is defined as the postcode or multiple directly adjoining postcodes at which the project takes place. The lead applicant must be the owner of the industrial process or data center operator. A third party (for example, a consultancy or an energy service company) can prepare an application on behalf of the lead applicant. However, BEIS will not have a legal relationship with or pay money to a third party. The competition is targeted at technologies that will reduce the onsite energy use or emissions generated by industrial processes or datacentres. In some cases, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) equipment integral to the process may be owned by a separate entity or may not be co-located on the immediate site. Studies investigating eligible fuel switches for CHP plants will be considered in the scope provided that at least 70% of both the heat output and electricity output produced by the CHP plant is used for an election process by the lead applicant or consortium. The lead applicant must in this case be an eligible end-user, and the CHP operator must be a collaborating partner on the project. Project team Lead organizations can collaborate with other organizations provided the project partners meet the criteria below. To collaborate with the lead your organization must: be a business of any size, a research organization, a research, and technology organization, an academic institution, or a public sector organization. You must read the Supplementary Grant Award Guidance to find out which definition your organization falls into. be registered in England, Wales or Northern Ireland carry out its project work in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland The lead must claim funding by entering their costs during the application. If the lead is collaborating with other organizations then the lead and at least one other partner must claim grant funding and enter their costs into the Innovation Funding Service. Each partner organization must be invited into the Innovation Funding Service by the lead to collaborate on a project. Partners must enter their own project costs into the Innovation Funding Service. Your project can include partners that do not receive any of this competition’s funding, for example, businesses registered in Scotland or outside the UK
Subcontractors Subcontractors are allowed in this competition. Subcontractors can be from anywhere in the UK and you must select them through your usual procurement process. You can use subcontractors from overseas but must make the case in question 5 for why you could not use suppliers from the UK. You must also provide a detailed rationale, evidence of the potential UK contractors you approached, and the reasons why they were unable to work with you. They expect all subcontractor costs to be justified and appropriate to the total eligible project costs. They will not accept a cheaper cost as a sufficient reason to use an overseas subcontractor. Applications that are successful at the assessment stage will undergo due diligence. Applicants must be willing to dedicate sufficient resources to assist us in completing this process. Previous applications You can use a previously submitted application from the first window of the IETF to apply for this competition. This took place in Summer 2020. Some application questions have changed, you must make sure that you are eligible, your proposal is in scope and the questions are answered in full. Subsidy control (and state aid where applicable) This competition provides funding in line with the UK’s obligations and commitments to Subsidy Control. Further information about the UK Subsidy Control requirements can be found within the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation agreement and the subsequent guidance from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). IETF is unable to award grant funding to organizations that are considered to be in financial difficulty. Please see the Supplementary Grant Award Guidance for more information. They will conduct financial viability and eligibility tests to confirm this is not the case following the application stage. European Commission State aid
You must apply under European Commission State aid rules if you are an applicant who is conducting activities that will affect the trade of goods and electricity between Northern Ireland and the EU as envisaged by Article 10 of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland in the EU Withdrawal Agreement. In certain limited circumstances, the European Commission State aid rules may also apply if you are an organization located in England, Wales, or Scotland and conduct activities that affect the trade of goods and electricity between Northern Ireland and the EU. For applicants subject to the European Commission State aid rules, applicants will be required to prove that they were not an “Undertaking in Difficulty” on the date of 31 December 2019 but became a UID between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021. Driving the Electric Revolution: Supply Chains for Net Zero The UK registered businesses of any size can apply for a share of up to £22 million for innovation projects focused on supply chain development for power electronics, electric machines, and drives. ISCF will work with Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, to invest up to £22 million in innovation projects. These will be to support the government’s green industrial revolution in the transport, energy, and industrial sectors. The aim of this competition is to facilitate the UK’s niche and volume supply chain and manufacturing capability growth in power electronics, machines, and drives (PEMD). Your proposal must help the UK to achieve the objectives of the Driving the Electric Revolution challenge and have a significant impact on the PEMD supply chain in the UK to support the UK’s drive towards net zero. Eligibility Your project Your project must: have started by 1 February 2022 end by 31 January 2025 last between 18 and 36 months have total eligible costs between £500,000 and £5 million If your project’s duration falls outside of our eligibility criteria, you must provide justification by email to support@innovateuk.ukri.org at least 10 working days before the competition closes. They will decide whether to approve your request. Lead organization To lead a project your organization must:

Once accepted, partners will be asked to log in or to create an account and enter their own project costs into the Innovation Funding Service. Your project can include other collaborators that do not receive any of this competition’s funding, for example, non-UK businesses. Their costs will count towards the total eligible project costs.
