        FOR MORPH NEXT
        AWARDS IS HERE!

In view of the success of the First Edition of the Morph Next Awards, we present
you the second edition. The main OBJECTIVE of the Morph awards is to encourage
and promote INNOVATION among architectural students. Therefore, we seek to
recognize those students who defy the traditional laws of drawing and expression

and who, like us, propose innovative solutions for the current design and
construction processes. We invite all those who want to participate in this era of
digital revolution, to the SECOND MORPH NEXT ARCHITECTURAL INNOVATION
PRIZE CONTEST.

This second edition, like the first, aims to recognize all the sustainable, sensitive,

innovative projects that break the traditional dogmas of architecture; projects

that investigate, discover, integrate knowledge and new design or construction
strategies, projects that stimulate ideas, promote technological advances and go

one step ahead of the future.

I am innovative but in my own way. Is there a category for me?
The jury will reward the projects presenting significant contributions in any of the following

areas:

• WOW! : We will reward the most innovative and original designs, both in their exterior
design and form, as well as those that present a novelty in their constructive system or

innovation in some of the construction processes ... here we have a place for even those who

continue to use parchments and pens to draw.

• SMART GREEN: We always seek to obtain the highest LEED-BREEAM rating in our
buildings, the leading worldwide sustainable certificate in construction. We look for projects

that prioritize sustainability above all and seek architectural integration in a sustainable

environment. We have joined the Smart Green Challenge proposed by LG in its bid to

lead a movement that positively contributes in reducing CO2 emissions, saving electricity

and water. With this movement, we demand a conscious consumption, responsibility and

commitment to the environment.

• NEXT: The ones drawn and designed with the most innovative technology such as the
BIM modeling system, both in ArchiCAD and in Revit as well as others, such as Grasshopper,

Phyton, Lumion, Rhinoceros ... if you use a program, we do not know, you have already won

our hearts.

Are you going to make me work a lot?
Do not worry! We don´t want you to dedicate a minute more than necessary, you work a lot

in the race so that we want you to use the time to investigate and discover new ways.

All end-of-degree projects may be submitted, as well as 4th and 5th year projects, presented

at any Higher School of Architecture officially recognized anywhere on planet EARTH and

have been qualified during the 2017 to 2019 convocations.

Would I be evaluated by a council of wise men?
No, that is not the goal of this award. The jury will be formed by the more than 100 members

of Morph Estudio, people just like you, accustomed to working with tools of this century,

the ones that we demand for this award. This original jury will award three prizes to the

projects that, in their opinion, contain the most significant contributions in any of the three

categories mentioned above. The participants do not define their project in any specific area,

it is the jury who recognizes the unique contribution of each project in each of them. If, in

the opinion of the jury, no works of sufficient quality had been submitted, the prizes could

be deserted ... do not let that happen!

And what do I win if I present my work?
LG, official sponsor of this 2nd edition of the Morph Next Awards, presents three prizes, one

for each category, where, in addition to a certificate, we will also provide the winners with an

innovative gift. We do notlet the talent escape and the winners will have the oppurtunity of

paid internships in the office of Morph Estudio in Madrid.

Do I have more chances if my cousin works in Morph?
The call will be anonymous. The jury will consider without prior knowledge of the authors

of the projects. The registration will be done by filling out a registration form published on
the website, section Next 2019 Awards, at http://www.morphestudio.es/premios-next-2019/

and sending it to the mailbox enabled on the same page for such effect. Registration is

free. The contest coordinator will guarantee the anonymity in the consideration of the jury.

Only registration on an individual basis is allowed. While registering, you will be requested

your name and surname, contact telephone, university to which you belong and your email

address. Once you have registered online, you will receive a code that you have to use as a

code for your submission for the contest. Registration implies acceptance of the contest

rules.

¿Do I have to spend money for my submission?
The presentation will be digital and of free format, but the file size should not superior to

50MB (a bigger size will disqualify the entry). The proposal should be sent through a Google

Drive link, Dropbox or any cloud storage service without expiration (not a free version We

Trasfer). The proposals should be sent to the e-mail: premiosnext2019@morphestudio.es,

indicating as subject of the message: “Awards Prizes Next 2019_Code received”. The code

should appear in the names of all the files sent. The documentation should be presented in

English or Spanish. Once the link has been sent, the information sent can not be edited; Once

the email is received, the information will be transferred to the contest database and will be

considered final even if it is subsequently edited by the contestant.

I have not submitted yet. Whom can I ask questions?
The doubts or queries should be made through the e-mail premiosnext2019@morphestudio.

es, with the subject as : “Consulta Next 2019 Awards”. The queries will be solved individually. If

there is any error in our bases, we would publish the error on our website and social networks.

Do I have to wait forever to know if I have Morph DNA?
The winners will be published within a period of fifteen days. The jury’s decision is

unappealable. All the papers presented and the jury verdict will be available on the MORPH
website http://www.morphestudio.es/

The interpretation of the rules, the manner of deliberation of the jury and its adaptations is

at the discretion of the coordinator of the contest.

   Call for submissions: 30 April 2019

   Last date for submissions: 30 June 2019

   Jury decision: 15 July 2019

Rights of the submitted projects
The intellectual property and the publication rights of the work developed correspond

exclusively to the authors of the work. Morph Estudio may, however, disseminate for

informative purposes, the title, author’s name, results of the awarded project, as well as

references and photographs documenting this work of support to students.

Awards
In this second edition, we have a special guest, an innovative and sustainable company whose

values ​​we share. That’s why, on this occasion, LG has chosen three of its most innovative and

eco-sustainable products from its Smart Green range.
