The ultimate paradigm is that the individual sees that what they do directly drives results and therefore what they in turn receive in terms of reward, satisfaction and progression. The most effective people cut out useless meetings, they are time wasting. You should challenge what the point of the meetings are and what do they achieve. Do they achieve what you want them to?
