National Day celebrations this year. The project works witnessed a significant milestone when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, accompanied by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, had a tour to inspect the work progress that gone a long way. His Highness approved the museum brand H.E. Mattar Al Tayer identity that has been inspired from the round structure of the Etihad House building, the birthplace of the UAE Union. It will also be a reliable source for researchers and historians. “The history,” as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum says, “is the art of impossible that cannot be manipulated as it constitutes to us the entity in which we take pride generation after generation. Without our entity, we will lose our identity and existence as a nation deeply rooted in history and land like the roots of an ever-growing date palm.” Once opened, the Etihad Museum will act as a radiation hub and a destination for citizens, residents and tourists to learn about the phases & challenges experienced during the formation of the UAE Etihad It will also highlight the achievements made throughout the union drive, and inculcate the concept & value of the Etihad in the consciences of citizens and next generations. It chronicles the evolution stages of the union and spotlights the roles of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum in laying the blueprints of the union. It will also educate visitors about the nature and lifestyles of residents of the Emirates in the pre-union era, and highlight the upswing and phenomenal achievements witnessed by the UAE during the early days of the union .

Cover Story Mohammed bin Rashid inspects progress in Etihad Museum project HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed satisfaction at the steps taken in the implementation of the Etihad Museum Project, and described it as a distinct national civilizational and cultural icon as well as a prominent tourism project.
