Mnidoo-Giisoons - Little Spirit Moon - December 2021
Mnidoo-Giisoons
   Little Spirit Moon

Little Spirit Moon is the twelfth moon of Creation, a very spiritual
time. At this time all Creation is being reminded of their journey set
out by the Creator. During this time, the Little Spirit Moon journeys
to Turle Island, as a healer and a seer in the hearts of all Creation.
This is to ensure that the strength and power of the flourish of
Creation, can flourish with the identity and diversity to make the
journey from this to the next.

POSTINGS: COMMUNITY

On behalf of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Melford "Bunny" Fisher (Wahsu:te's /
Ginwesh dibikan: Long Nights), the Fisher family would like to express our sincere appreciation
for all the support we have received since his sudden passing on September 28, 2021. Every
wood and food donation, card, flower and kind word has brought us comfort during this difficult
time.

Miigwech to the CMO community members who jointly supported our family in teachings,
culture and ceremony in order to ensure "Bunny" journeyed well; Elder Howard Elijah, Mick
Sickles and Kyle Ireland as well as the many cousins who shared their knowledge and teachings.
Thank you to Jesse and Luke Hendrick, Tim Burch and Clayton Sturgeon for their hard work
ensuring that a beautiful teepee was raised for dad's journey. It was gorgeous and was such a gift
for the family to wake up to each morning. In addition, miigwech to firekeepers Kyle Ireland and
son Night, Kyle French, Tyler Waddilove, Erik, Ty Lee and Logan Fisher, Adam Deleary, Sean
Barnett and Tony Weekes.

Special thanks to the Stacey family (Wanda, John, Angela, Kara), and to Cheri and Terri Fisher
for all your help, love, and support. We truly appreciate every moment that you spent with us,
supporting us during the last few weeks.

Lastly, we would also like to thank the volunteer fire department, COTTFN police department,
the roads department as well as everyone who donated food, water or firewood: Shelly Albert,
Buckey Thomas, Church of Jesus Christ, Austin Henry Sr, Brenda Varewyck, Angie Grosbeck
(Child and Family Well Being Services), Cheryl Fisher (Crisis Outreach), Jean and Lena
Kechego, Hazel and Jaynee Fisher, Paul and Lindsay Boshart, Leland Sturgeon, Joe and Shirley
Miskokomon, Elizabeth Waddilove, Cheryl Fisher, Bear Creek, Chippewa board of education
and trustees, Larry and Fay Fisher, Wendy and Trish Dunn, Theresa Henry.

It was a beautiful week to gather with friends, family, and community to share memories, to
celebrate "Bunny's" life through culture, medicine, teachings and ceremony and to say
baamaapii. He would have loved it.

Sincerely,

The Fishers: Barb, Ashley, Robert, Chantal

Apologies if we have missed anyone.
