You Are Invited: Come Communicate with Us! Brush Up on Technology! Practice Communicating! For the past 10 years, the ComSt 319 (Communication Training & Development) class has benefited from the opportunity to deliver programs to the OLLI membership on topics related to their ComSt classes. Students work in teams of three or four to plan, design, and deliver the programs via Zoom. They are looking forward to delivering programs to OLLI members again this spring. Programs will be offered on April 6 and April 13. There will be two programs each day, the first at 3:00 PM CT and the second at 4:00 PM CT. Each program will be approximately 45 minutes in length, with approximately 10 minutes for Q & A. You are invited to view as many of the programs as you wish at no charge. All presentations will be offered via Zoom; a link for these programs will be sent to all current OLLI members in the “What’s happening at OLLI the week of” email on the Friday before the presen- tations. Most students in the class are Communication Studies majors who are studying approaches to applied communication. Topics covered in their classes focus on interpersonal communication in contexts of relationships; intercultural, nonverbal, and organizational commu- nication; communication in groups and teams; conflict management; and computer-mediated communication, including influences of social media on interpersonal communication.
