2019 HIGHWAY CONFERENCE AND ROAD SHOW 2019 HIGHWAY CONFERENCE 2019 WELCOME HIGHWAY CONFERENCE AND ROAD SHOW Welcome county road commissioners, county road agency staff, partners, vendors, contractors, legislators, stakeholders and all dedicated to improving infrastructure in Michigan. We’re glad you joined us for the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan’s 2019 Highway Conference and Road Show! The theme for this year’s Highway Conference is “83 County Road Agencies, Many Roles.” County road agencies play vital roles throughout our state, maintaining infrastructure that is key to economic development, emergency response and tourism. Please take the time to network and talk about our many roles. Listen for those continued opportunities to collaborate and work together. We are all on the same team! After all, our citizens have placed their trust in us as county road agencies, Joanna Johnson, PWE committed to public service, who time and time again have demonstrated our CRA President commitment to innovation, efficiency and collaboration. Managing Director, Road Commission of 2019 will be an important year for county road agencies. Road funding secured in Kalamazoo County the 2015 State Transportation Package nears its peak in 2020, while support for local transportation funding is still growing. The public realizes our infrastructure problems are still not resolved and we continue to positively share information why. As the local road professionals, we continue to apply the principles of asset management to efficiently and effectively use our limited funding, with a mix of fixes to maintain our infrastructure. We thank you all for the support of our industry and for attending the 2019 Highway Conference and Road Show. We are proud to come together to share rich educational seminars, the fourth annual Road Show, Legislative Reception, luncheon keynote speaker and former Detroit Lions wide receiver Herman Moore and much more at the CRA 2019 Highway Conference.
