Balla Céadfach i nDún Dealgan Sensory Wall in Dundalk
Recent visitors to Dundalk Library may have spotted a new addition
to our Junior Section - a beautiful, interactive sensory wall! Free for
all to use, this is the latest installation in our Sensory Spaces for All
project, which was funded by the DRCD.
As well as Sensory Walls (which can also be found in Ardee and
Drogheda), all three libraries also have a Magic Table, which projects
playful, interactive images onto tables or flat surfaces. A hublet,
containing portable tablets pre-loaded with fun apps to use in the
library, is available in Drogheda, along with additional sensory book
stock.
All of these facilities are ideal for those with sensory difficulties, for
Autistic people or people on the Autism Spectrum, and for people
with Dementia. We look forward to taking individual and group
bookings for these facilities when Government restrictions allow.
