WELLWOOD AVENUE LINDENHURST, NEW YORK 11757 2021 RECYCLING MAP Recycling Areas & Pick-Up Days Have Changed To Increase The Efficiency Of Our Service To You VILLAGE RESIDENT LINDENHURST, NY 11757 January 2021 Dear Village Residents, On behalf of the Lindenhurst Village Board, I am pleased to forward our 2021 Sanitation Collection and Recycling Calendar. This easy-to-read guide contains detailed information HELP KEEP about our collection and recycling program. Everything that you need to know about re- fuse, yard waste, special pick-up, and any recyclable pick-up items are detailed inside this calendar. LINDENHURST This calendar is designed to ensure that your sanitation and recycling service is efficient, user friendly, and convenient. By following this calendar and its simple schedule, you are CLEAN! instrumental in the program’s continued success. I cannot stress enough how important it is to recycle - newspapers, cardboard, plastic bot- tles and cans, etc. - and don’t forget about special pick-ups. All special pick-ups, including metal, can be scheduled by calling the Department of Public Works at 631-957-7520. Re- member. recycling has many benefits. Recycling saves energy, conserves natural resources, and reduces pollution. Every Village resident is asked to put out their recyclables weekly, so please remember to do so! Also, please note that when a holiday falls within the work week, any change in schedule is set forth by simply following your color and code as displayed on each page. There is also a list of regulations concerning the weight and the type of refuse which is acceptable. The refuse material that the Village collects, and how we collect it, is regulated by the Town of Babylon. Following these simple rules will enable our Sanitation Department to do their job more efficiently and safely. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Village Hall (631-957-7500) between 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, or our Department of Public Works (631-957-7520) between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
