Landezine is calling offices from the field of landscape architecture to submit entries to the seventh edition of LILA –
Landezine International Landscape Award.

Why Submitting?
All entries will be published on LILA website on its own page with full material.
There are more than 50 possible recognitions (shortlists, special mentions, awards).
All shortlisted entries will be published on the front-page of LILA website.
Winners will be promoted on Landezine all-year round and also in our newsletter

What to Submit?
Landscape architects may submit any number of completed works relevant to landscape architecture. The last
phase of the project must be completed in 2019 or later.

The below categories are not definitive; the jury will be instructed to only award outstanding quality. The members
of the jury reserve the right not to give award in a category if they think it is not possible. On the other hand, they may
give additional awards if they think an outstanding project can’t be awarded in other categories.

1. PUBLIC PROJECT
Interesting and exceptional publicly accessible social spaces. Squares, parks, waterfronts ...

2. INFRASTRUCTURE
Landscapes that were primarily designed to solve a technical issue with or without human-scale layer. Publicly
accessible or not. Traffic, energy production, large scale water management ...

3. RESIDENTIAL HOUSING
Collective housing, questioning the design of the semi-private open spaces for communities.

4. PRIVATE GARDENS
Private residential gardens for single family houses.

5. CAMPUSES AND CORPORATE LANDSCAPES
University, corporate campuses and gardens.

6. HOSPITALITY
Open spaces for short term stays (tourism, hotels, resorts, bars and similar).

7. SCHOOLS AND PLAYGROUNDS - open spaces for schools, kindergardens and similar.

8. OTHER - cemeteries, memorials, temporary projects, exhibitions, experimental projects, multi-media projects ...
The jury may give one or more special awards to rare typologies or other achievements by landscape architects that
seldom come around or in any way can’t be awarded in other project categories.

NEW One of the winning projects in the above categories will be selected by the jury as the Project Of The Year.

9. NEW - REVISITED - At least 15 years old projects presented with new photos showing how well the project has
aged. The last phase of the project needs to be completed before 2008.

10. OFFICE OF THE YEAR AWARD
1 Award, selected by Landezine editors from Landezine member offices published on landezine.com.
NEW It is no longer possible to submit to office profiles to LILA.

11. HONOUR AWARD - 1 award, decided by Landezine editors
