Student Portal Details Students will need to create an account on their first use of the The Candidate system and will need: Self Service • Students will require exam number – distributed on labels on Thursday 4th March Portal (CSSP) • Students will require PPSN – this will be supplied by the school • Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be the first four digits of students PPSN will open from • Students may need to provide an email address for confirmation of registration as Wednesday 10 was the case last year March at 12 Once registered students should record any information that you need to login to your portal carefully – student number, email, noon to 6pm password, etc. as the school will not be able to access any on Tuesday 16 password or information students create during the registration March process

Timetable for exam • Leaving Certificate Exams Timetable: • EN-EX-46337197.pdf (examinations.ie) • Exams run for 3 weeks from Wed 9th June to Tues 29th June • Provide copy of timetable to all students and display in school 10
No money required The State Examinations Commission will not charge the usual exam fee this year Money paid to school for correction of mock exams will be refunded
• There will be no alternative for sitting the exams this year • Students who are unable to take any or all the exams as Candidates scheduled for any of these reasons will received accredited grades (whether or not they have opted for unable to take Accredited Grades): • At very high risk of Covid-19 exams • Required to self-isolate and/or restrict their movements • Bereavement • Certified illness

Why choose both Accredited Grades and Exams?

What is an SEC Accredited Grade? • Combination of school information • A student’s expected performance in an examination • National data available in relation to the performance of students in examinations over a period of time. • The combination of these data sets through a process of national standardisation will determine the grade – SEC Accredited Grade • Performance in all aspects of the course • No historical school data/profiling • Each student is assigned a mark with up to two decimal places allowed (83.22%, 83.33%)
