Masks and social distancing are required in person. Operational Information for Smith and Trotter: The Centers are open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. 12/1/2020 Constant Contact You will need to reserve a time slot to use each of the three areas in order to maintain our maximum occupancy as required by the Governor’s orders. To reserve a time slot, please call either Smith (336-373-7564) or Trotter (336-373-2927). The showers are only used for showering before entering the pool. You are not able to take a shower after leaving the pool. Masks are required in all areas of the centers. Both centers are cleaned by the City’s custodial staff each morning before opening, and throughout the day by each center’s staff. Fitness room members are asked to clean each piece of equipment before and after tuse. Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout both centers. Both centers have directional arrows on the floor to help with the flow of traffic and social distancing. Smith Center patrons will enter from the front of the building, but exit out the side door near the kitchen. Your account will be adjusted/credited for the time that the centers were closed. Our hope for the program is that our Active Adults will show support for each other and form friendly bonds with one another, from a safe distance. Researchers at the University of North Carolina Greensboro are recruiting adults age 60 years or older, currently engaged in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per week and living in Guilford County, NC to participate in a study to learn more about the maintenance of physical activity over time.
