THE CONNECTION Page |3 Happy Retirement! On Wednesday evening, the OSL staff celebrated the retirement of Cathy May as an office administrator at our school. She had worked here for 23 years in total. Cathy will be recognized in church on Sunday, July 4th. If you wish to leave cards of good wishes for her, the basket is out in the narthex.
THE CONNECTION Page |4 In Sympathy Our Christian sympathy is extended to David and Percy Bleier, Daniel and Heather Bleier and family as they mourn the death of RON BLEIER. Ron died in the Lord on June 17, 2021 at the age of 86. He and his wife Rita, who preceded him in death on February 29, 2020, were longtime members of Our Savior until they moved to North Carolina 8 years ago. Ron was an usher at our early service and always served as a "Trustee," on our property board. As a professional painter he donated many hours of his time painting in our church and school. A memorial service is being held in North Carolina. Dear OSL Community, If you knew Jenn McGinnis, chances are you loved her -- her enthusiasm, her creativity, her honesty and intelligence, her love for her family and friends, her fearless defense of any underdog. Her tragic passing last Saturday has left us all devastated. As a preschool assistant teacher for years here and mother to two of our elementary students, she touched so many lives. The family has chosen Saturday, July 10, at 1:00 pm as a time for all Jenn's family and friends to gather in our sanctuary for a Memorial Service to honor her memory and celebrate her life. I am sure we will hear more later, and at that time I will share with you. Thanking you for your outpouring of love and concern for the family, Ms. Root

Nancy, one of the case managers at the hospital, called the church shortly after and expressed her gratitude toward everyone involved, saying that it was a very thoughtful gesture and a nice surprise. Included in the bags were thank you cards, t-shirts, Dunkin gift cards, little snacks, and much more. Thank you to the Women’s Group for putting this all together and to everyone else who helped donate items and stuff bags and envelopes.
