July Bulletin Recent Happenings: Pride Event on June 6th I think it’s really important to not just support our family It is our responsibility to open our minds and our hearts to members, friends, and neighbors but to listen to their stories learn about who others are, not who we try to classify them and understand who they are. I believe that we each share to be. certain responsibilities as members of social groups and so I thought it was important to share these with others. Especially now that the transgender bills have been passed, it is more important than ever to speak up for the LGBTQ+ community as everyone should feel comfortable being who they really are. July Bulletin Recent Happenings: Honors! Our member, Sidney Rose, was declared an Honorable Centenarian of the Town of Marblehead at a ceremony at Abbot Hall on Saturday, June 19th! Sidney Rose along with his wife, Ellaine (of blessed memory) enjoying the beauty of Caesarea during a recent Temple trip to Israel. Our member, Betsy Rooks, was honored with the Presidential Award from the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore during its Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 27th. 5 | Temple Emanu-El
July Bulletin Neighborhoods Senior Connection Neighborhood Outdoor Gatherings Every Tuesday at 11:00am Meetings are taking place outside in the parking lot to the left of the building as you enter from Atlantic Avenue at 11:00am. Seniors will meet outside unless of inclement weather. In that case, they will meet inside. Outdoors and Active Neighborhood Saturday, July 3rd, at 10:00am Fort Sewall Celebration and Walk Let’s gather to celebrate the grand reopening of Fort Sewell followed by a walk through Old Town Marblehead led by Mark Sherf. We will meet at Fort Sewall on Front Street. Parking available either on Front Street or in the small parking lot. There will also be a shuttle bus from Marblehead High School available.
