Christmas Jumper & Craft Day Essex Library Services have announced a brand-new reading scheme. Unique to Essex, they are launching The Winter Reading Challenge 2020 on Saturday 5th December. All families need to do is visit their local library and collect one of their Thursday 17th December exclusive Giant Bookmarks, which 2020 will be stamped with one of the libraries special woodland creature stamps for each book your child reads. The aim is to read 6 books over the winter period and receive a large golden star to complete the challenge. There is no joining process or forms to complete and families can take part at any point Christmas Cards from 5th December 2020 – 27th February 2021. Unfortunately, this year due to COVID, we are unable to use the school Christmas post box. However, if your child/ren would like to send Christmas cards these will be distributed within the class “bubbles”. If any cards are for children in other class “bubbles” they will be delivered to the correct class after 72 hours. Please can you ensure that all cards are clearly labelled with the child’s name as well as their class in order to help with the distribution of the mail. Thank you.
