Tickets to the hottest party of the year go on sale in February 2020. WHAT’S THE BLYTHWOOD GALA? Presented by the Blythwood Parent School Association, this pinnacle biennial fundraising event brings together Blythwood parents and staff for an exciting evening of entertainment, music, dance, silent/live/class project auctions and much more. THE CAUSE This year, funds raised will go towards “Constructing the 21st Century Classroom”. Research has shown that the 4 essential skills students need to be successful citizens beyond school are critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. To assist in the development of these skills, the funds raised will be used to: 1. Enhance the kindergarten play area to promote exploration and inquiry. 2. Purchase iPads to enable documented learning, increased engagement, improved collaboration, and personalized learning. (Grades 1-3) 3. Expand our inventory of Chromebooks to allow more students access to the google platform to encourage collaborative learning, inspire creativity, facilitate active engagement participation, and increase critical thinking. (Grades 4-6). Also, a portion of these funds is donated to our sister school, Sunny View Public School, to help support the learning experiences and intensive health needs of Sunny View students. HOW YOU CAN HELP? Donate some great items to our auction! In 2018, nearly all of the money raised from the silent auction came from our incredible parent community or ties to our parent community. We have come up with a Wish List that includes gift certificates, event tickets, electronics, unique experiences and getaways. For more
information on our Wish List and some FAQs visit http://blythwoodschool.com/gala/auctions-gala/ or see the “Blythwood Gala Silent Auction Parent Ask” letter attached. Let's help make Blythwood a leader in education and help support the students of Sunny View. We look forward to seeing you on May 1, 2020, for Havana Nights!
