Committee for Private Education (CPE) •EtonHouse is registered with the Committee for Private Education or the CPE •Appointed by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) October 2016 under the Private Education Act. •To regulate the sector, provide student services, consumer education to uplift standards in the local private education industry •EduTrust certification (Quality Assurance Scheme) –Broadrick 2015-19 then 2019- October 2023 •Ref: https://www.cpe.gov.sg/ 5
ICA Regulation for Student’s Pass Holder •The purpose of stay in Singapore is solely for study only, and no other pass, extension of stay or permanent stay will be sought in Singapore. •The Parent/Guardian of the student shall not be involved in any criminal offences in Singapore. •The student shall not remain in Singapore after the expiry of the Student’s Pass • The Parent/Guardian shall be responsible to surrender the Student’s Pass for cancellation within 7 days of the date of cessation or termination of studies. ICA Regulation for Student’s Pass Holder (Attendance) •School - obliged to report to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) •International students – not attend classes for a continuous period of 7 days or more without any valid reason •Attendance 90% or lower in any month of the course without any valid reason. •May lead to the cancellation of the Student’s Pass for the student. 7

Behaviour Management - Primary •Good behaviour valued, praised and rewarded. •Certificates given for academic as well as social achievements. •Essential agreements in all classes. Behaviour Management programme in all areas of the school. •Kelso’s choices are used for reflection. •Behaviour policy and procedures in place. 17
Daily routine information •8:30am (late after 8:45am) -3:30pm (3:25pm K1) •Parent Lanyards – requirement at all times. Apart from pick-up drop-off times – sign Visitors’ book in PLO – they will contact staff you are visiting •Communication diaries (K1-Y1), Bloomz and email •Library Bags – Students cannot borrow books without their bags. •InterHouse Sports and Swimming – Alternate week from Year 1 upwards. Students to bring their swimming gear to school. •Excursions – Field trips and camps are an important part of the curriculum. •Consent notes– Please sign and send as required •Social lists – Available in the PLO for, such as, playdates •Birthdays – Birthdays invites to be sent to all if sent through the class teachers or parents can use the social list 18
• Bus/Transport changes – Write in the Communication book (K1-Y1), email or call PLO if after 8:45 am. • Student pick up and drop off – Parents to report to the PLO and pick up a purple form for student to be released by the teacher. • Student absences- Inform the teacher by email and in case of medical leave write a note and attach a Doctor’s note wherever possible, particularly if on Student Pass. • Leave Request – Please inform the class teacher and PLO • Change of Personal Particulars – Please inform the class teacher and PLO • Extra Curricular Activities - ECAs (optional) Mon Tues Weds to 4:30pm 19
‘No Hat, No Play’ Policy. The school hat (compulsory in Pre School and Primary) is available for purchase at the Parent Liaison Office. Label all belongings especially hat with child’s name and class. 20
• Allergies – clearly communicated to the class teacher. • Medication cannot be administered by the class teacher. It needs to be sent to the nurse with dosage and timings written specifically. • Please collect if notified and do not send till 24hrs after last vomit/diarrhoea • School nurses will contact you if needed. They are here to care for your child and also a resource for health education. 21

Parent School Association •All parents are automatically part of the PSA – chat and refreshments 6th January 8:30am Staff room •Open Town Hall meetings to discuss school developments •Core committee meets regularly to coordinate a range of activities and fund raisers; like PSA Bazaar, UN day, Cultural events. All welcome. 24
Parent Partnership •Build a strong partnership with the teachers, Teaching Assistants and other staff. •Take the time out to listen to your child, read the class Bloomz posts and Principal’s newsletters. •Join in the Celebrations, Open lessons, Parent workshops, Special Assemblies. •Share your expertise.
