A58 MILAN OUTER RING ROAD The A58 Milano Outer Ring Road is part of the external ring outside of Milan and serves 4.3 million people across four counties; connecting with three other road systems: A4, A35, and A1. This road system carries 70,000 vehicles per day across three lanes, a carriageway, and an emergency lane in both directions. This DBFOM was delivered in two phases. The first phase was the design and construction of the TEEM tunnel by Itinera; completed in July 2014. This project also utilizes recycled materials to extend the life of the project as well as utilizing PV panels, LED lamps with remote control, automatic speed and fog sensors, closed circuit cameras, and SOS safety units, among others. The concession began in May 2015 and runs for 50 years, concluding in 2065. LOCATION: MILAN, ITALY PROJECT VALUE: $2.6 BILLION LENGTH: 20 MILES Featured Concessions A55 TURIN RING ROAD The A55 Turin Ring Road is part of ATIVA concessions, also managing A5 Turin to Quincinetto and A4 Ivrea to Santhia. This is a design-build-finance-operate- maintain (DBFOM) P3 concession with approximately 430,000 vehicles per day with a three lanes-two carriageway- and emergency lane configuration. Recycled durable materials were used to minimize interruption from maintenance and optimize project life cycle. Tolls are collected via highway pass LOCATION: TURIN, ITALY subscription with cost savings to users. The A55 was PROJECT VALUE: $400 MILLION developed in a congested urban environment with a LENGTH: 50 MILES concession period of 44 years, which expired in 2016. ECO VIAS The Eco Vias toll concession in Sao Paulo is part of IGLI concessions and operated under Ecorodovias. This DBFOM P3 concession carries 66,000 vehicles per day across six lanes and seven toll plazas, from Sao Paulo through to Santos passing Sao Vicente, Praia Grande, and Guaruja respectively. This road system is the main connection for freight transport coming in from Santos Port to the Capital—Sao Paulo. This project has a 27-year concession period which concludes LOCATION: SAO PAULO, BRAZIL in 2025. PROJECT VALUE: $700 MILLION LENGTH: 110 MILES ECO PONTE Eco Ponte is the largest toll bridge in the southern hemisphere, connecting Rio de Janeiro with the rest of the countryside. It services a population of 16.6 million people and carries 75,000 vehicles per day with two lanes in each direction and one toll plaza. Recycled materials were used to minimize future maintenance work and extend the life of the project. The concession period began in 2015 and concludes in 30 years. LOCATION: RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL PROJECT VALUE: $100 MILLION A4 TURIN TO MILAN LENGTH: 9 MILES The A4 Turin to Milano concession connects three counties in Northern Italy; Turin, Novara, and Milan and serves 5.5 million people in the region. The project scope included widening to include a third lane and carriageway in each direction, revision of tolls, and adaptation of highway configuration to accommodate high speed railway lines parallel to the highway. Recycled materials were used to extend the life and reduce the need for frequent maintenance interruptions. This DBFOM concession carries 105,000 vehicles per day across three lanes, a carriageway, and an LOCATION: TURIN, ITALY emergency lane in both directions. TURIN COLLEGNO PORTA SUBWAY Construction of 3.3-miles of automated subway tunnels and 7,835m of track in Turin, Italy, including lots 3 and 5 Collegno-Porta Nuova sections and made by mechanical shield TBM with pressurized front and relevant monitoring works, double-track, six wells, and 10 stations. LOCATION: TURIN, ITALY MILAN-TURIN HIGH PROJECT VALUE: $220 MILLION SPEED RAILWAY LENGTH: 3.3 MILES High Speed Railway for the 43-mile Torino-Venezia line and 46-mile Torino- Milano line in conjunction with the modernization of a new motorway with 1,200m viaduct, local roads, hydraulic works, and two intersecting viaducts overall. The Torino-Novara section also included six trenches, five tunnels, and seven viaducts with hydraulic works. STORSTROM BRIDGE The company is currently leading the $670 million design-build of Storstrom LOCATION: MILAN, ITALY PROJECT VALUE: $484 MILLION Bridge, which will be the third- LENGTH: 9 MILES largest bridge in Denmark by 2022. Construction of this bridge replacement project connects the islands of Zealand and Falster on the Baltic Sea. The new bridge, will be made of pre- compressed prefabricated reinforced concrete spanning four miles and includes approximately 2.4 miles of long deck with two access ramps and two road lanes, inclusive of two high-speed railway tracks for passenger and freight trains and a pedestrian/cycling lane. The 44 spans of the access bridges will be 80m each, while the 2-central cable- stayed spans will be 160m wide each. LOCATION: DENMARK Works will be completed by end of 2022. LONG ISLAND THIRD TRACK Design-Build JV consists of engineering and construction of a third railway line extending about 10 miles from Floral Park to Hicksville, including third rail, ties, switches, cable, signal equipment, utility poles and other items needed to support railroad operations, and the construction of seven new grade separated train crossings (bridges) in Nassau County, New York. In addition, the project includes construction of up to five parking garages, construction of retaining walls, utility relocation, fencing, station improvements and construction of new station platforms, along with measures to reduce impacts on adjacent communities such as sound attenuation barriers and landscaping. The new line will increase the capacity of the rail service along the corridor connecting Manhattan with the entire island and developing mobility in the Long Island area. Halmar is currently delivering the $1.9 billion LIRR Third Track DB project and the $366 million Kew Gardens Interchange in New York, and the $220 million DB WMATA Potomac Yards Station in Alexandria, Virginia. 8 ITINERA INFRASTRUCTURE & CONCESSIONS
ALEXANDER HAMILTON BRIDGE Rehab/Interchange Reconstruction and Congestion Relief. Completed over a three-year period, the project consisted of the maintenance/management of more than 300,000 vehicles/day during repair/ construction of nine bridges, four temporary ramps bridges, as well as the widening of existing ramps and interchanges. Critical utilities relocation and drainage controls were also a significant element of the work. The project used innovative VE on structural LOCATION: NEW YORK components reducing steel volume by 25% and PROJECT VALUE: $407 MILLION COMPLETION: 2013 prefabricated/assembled elements offshore to reduce construction schedule. MILL BASIN BRIDGE Construction of the new Mill Basin, awarded in 2015 and ongoing, is broken up into four phases and will be finished 13 months ahead of schedule. More than 80% of the bridge is being built without interference with the existing structure and includes complex marine construction including: a) temporary traffic diversion to facilitate new bridge construction, b) installation of waterside foundation structures, c) moored barge installation LOCATION: NEW YORK of structural bridge components, d) mass PROJECT VALUE: $237 MILLION excavation and embankment construction; and COMPLETION: 2018 e) maintenance and management of marine navigation during conduct of the work. SOUTH FERRY TERMINAL Design-Build of new subway station located in Lower Manhattan, South Ferry Station is the southern terminal for the No.1 subway line, which is used by six million passengers each year. The project involved underpinning existing subway lines while mining under active rail, roadway decking, controlled blast operations, utility relocations, and support of historical artifacts. The project was delivered within an urban congested environment while LOCATION: NEW YORK transit operations continued uninterrupted PROJECT VALUE: $261 MILLION COMPLETION: 2007 during construction.
