SOCIAL PROGRAMME W e all know that General Assemblies can be intense, but the social programme is what gives us strength (at least met- aphorically) to get through it. To make your stay in Slovenia extra spectacular, our team has prepared a wide variety of activities and theme nights that will surely reroute your thoughts away from de- manding sessions of the day towards relaxation, adventure and innovation (of wild dance moves) in the night. As always you will get to see an amazing Opening Ceremony, only this time with uniquely prominent guests. Cross your fingers that our president Borut Pahor will join us for it. With a little bit of luck you can even end up on his very popular Instagram account! (@borutpahor) (not sponsored) In addition to the evergreen Closing Ceremony and NFDP you will have the chance to enjoy a latino themed night, a balkan themed night, and most importantly - masquerade ball! As you may already be aware Carneval/Mardi gras/Fasching/ Pust is happening during the MM this year! And we intend to celebrate in style so come prepared. 30
THEME EVENT I FMSA is a strong advocate for #HealthForAll and proudly calls itself a feminist space. To empha- sise that, we are happy to announce that March Meeting’s Theme Event will be “Gender in Health Care”. Gender impacts health on many levels, some more visible on first sight than others. In our theme event, we will explore these different levels and how they affect health systems and politics, but also your very individual health care provision in your future career. How does gender influence diagnosis and treat- ment? How are differences through gender ap- proached in medical research? Can gender be an impediment to health, especially to access to health care and health-related rights, and what can we do to fight this? Where does gender de- termine public health challenges where we might not expect it? We hope we will give you an an- swer to these questions and take these important messages home to our universities, our Standing Committees and our future careers, to create one strong joint voice as advocates for dignified and non-discriminatory medicine. 32
