Doğuş Group Strategy The Group has become a global player in the services sector in virtue of the followed investment route in the recent years, value of its brands and strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of customer service. The ultimate strategy of the Group is to maximize shareholder value by sound growth on the basis of sustainable profitability and enterprise wide risk management. In the F&B sector, the intention is to expand the unique brand umbrella both in Turkey and globally from the Gulf Region to the Far East, from Europe to the US in line with the strategy being a global player representing Turkey and the Doğuş brand. The restaurant management company of Doğuş Group (d.ream) has been growing rapidly by expanding existing brands, developing new, innovative concepts and introducing local brands to the international arena, such as iconic brand Nusret known as Saltbae in USA. d.ream has further strengthened its position in the restaurant business by establishing strong partnerships in Turkey and abroad such as Paraguas, Coya and Zuma. It currently operates in 12 countries with 58 brands and more than 160 outlets and its continuous growth keeps its pace mainly by organic ways. Doğuş Tourism Group had a rapid expansion in the recent years with a number of new investments both in Turkey and abroad. D-Hotelier owns, manages and partners in 15 hotels within 5 countries, in Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. Owned and managed D-Hotelier are: Aldrovandi Villa Borghese, Chenot Weggis, Argos in Cappadocia, D-Resort Ayvalık Murat Reis, D Maris Bay, D-Resort Göcek, D-Resort Sibenik and Villa Dubrovnik. Partnership and management contract hotels are: Four Seasons Astir Palace, Grand Hyatt Istanbul, Hyatt House Gebze, Maça Kızı, Soho House Istanbul and Villa Maça Kızı. The construction of the Peninsula Hotel in Istanbul are ongoing. Additionally, Alanya located Doğuş property Alantur Hotel building is rented. Properties of D-Hotelier are operated in accordance with the shared vision and values, and each hotel renders their services at the highest level of quality and service standards. As a true pioneer in the hospitality industry with its excellence approach, D-Hotelier aims to enhance its local and international brand recognition. Doğuş Group Strategy On the new initiatives; Galataport, is one of the most important project of the Group, it is a city project with a master plan Cruise Terminal and development of a Luxury Hotel together with equity partner Peninsula Hotels Group, A+ offices and outdoor retail areas. Galataport is planned to be operational in 2020. Doğuş Retail Group, which has several luxury brands such as Loro Piana, Under Armour, Kiko, Hublot, Breitling, Arnolds&Son, Bell&Ross, Messika, HYT, Döttling, Leica under its umbrella extended its portfolio in the recent years by adding new global brands such as “Tag Heuer”, “Bvlgari”, “Frederique Constant”, “Eleventy”, ”M-Missoni” and maintained its growth strategy. Dogus Group is one of the pioneers of media sector with leading media brands NTV, Star, Kral, TV8 (30% of ownership) and Puhu TV in television, radio and digital broadcasting. Strongly believing in the capacity, potential and the future of Turkey, Doğuş Group has also been active in technology-aimed New Initiatives, partnerships and acquisitions besides the operations and activities in the main business lines. DOAS’ Position in the Market - 2020 2020 VW PV reached 52,740 sales units and ranked 3rd in the passenger vehicles market. 2020 market share of VW was realized as 8.6%. PV The new Tiguan became the segment leader in the last quarter of the year with its successful sales performance after its debut. SEAT achieved 11,551 sales units with market share 1.89%. ŠKODA closed the year 2020 with selling 24,175 units with market share 4.0%. VW LCV market share has been realized as 7.4% in 2020. VW LCV sold 12,036 units in 2020. LCV VW LCV is the sales leader with 20.4% market share in the imported commercial vehicles market. VW LCV sales are ranked 3rd place in the total market. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle’s Transporter model ranked second in its segment with a sales figure of 4,078 units and a market share of 29.6% in 2020. With the motto, “Tailored for the only business that matters, yours” Scania has completed 2020 with an overall market share of 7% and 10% in the tractor segment, successfully leaving behind a challenging year for the heavy vehicle industry. HCV Scania Power Solutions has carried its market share in the marine engine industry to higher levels in 2020, thanks to domestic and international projects realized with shipyards and yacht manufacturers that manufacture pilot boats, fishing boats, and passenger ferries. Thermo King, which has been the market leader in the reefer unit industry for years, continued its success in 2020 with solutions that meet different needs and maintained its leadership in the cold chain transportation industry. The Audi brand completed the year 2020 as the premium market leader with a sales figure of 18,168 units, increasing its market share further. The Porsche brand increased its sales by 71% in 2020 compared to 2019 and sold 619 vehicles. With a sales Luxury performance of 303 units, the Porsche Taycan, the first fully electric sports car which was added to the product line in October, has been the best-selling all-electric car in Turkey. Segment In 2020, the New Bentley Flying Spur, a unique combination of the luxury and sports sedan performance of the Bentley brand, and the New Bentayga, the SUV model of the brand, were introduced in Turkey, while the Urus, the SUV model of the Lamborghini brand, has led the Company to success in terms of sales. Lamborghini reached the highest sales figure in Turkey with Urus, the world’s first super SUV. In 2020, Bentley sold 11 in total and Lamborghini sold 19 units of vehicles. The Traffic is Life! platform has carried out awareness studies towards various target audiences increasing for 17 years as the longest social responsibility traffic safety project in the sector, with a view to changing the behavior and habits of individuals from all age groups regarding traffic safety, and raising awareness in society.
