Intersekt 2020 - 2021 Now in its fifth year, the Australian fintech festival – Intersekt, is the leading and most thought-provoking conference in the region. It is the largest gathering of Australian Fintechs, hubs, accelerators, policymakers, regulators, investors and advisors, devoted to examining, discussing and unlocking the potential of Australia’s Fintech market. Intersekt will continue our momentum with a jam-packed two-day program of leading international and national speakers, free workshops, optional satellite events and extensive networking opportunities with two social functions. Hosted by FinTech Australia and supported by the Victorian Government, Intersekt will bring together an impressive line-up of global and local speakers to challenge ideas on the future of fintech. Intersekt key themes include: - Growth Pathways - ASEAN - Fintech/industry collaboration - Customers in the spotlight
This Year Intersekt is going hybrid this year, with separate assortment of virtual events for remote attendees running alongside an in-person conference in Melbourne. These unique digital events will complement the conversations on stage and will be delivered via webinars, podcasts, interactive Q&A’s and virtual roundtables. This new content will also be part of the highly engaging satellite panels held in previous years. In addition, for the first time, Intersekt will offer remote attendees a livestream of the main panel sessions, expanding their reach and impact. Attendees can register for free select virtual events as well as pay for the full experience of networking and attending all in-person dinners and events. This unique proposition broadens Intersekt’s reach and opens it up to a global fintech audience. Sponsorship of the digital events will provide your organisation with the opportunity to position itself in front of a combination of both local influential fintech companies and an engaged global audience interested in the Australian fintech ecosystem. If you are interested in learning how you can get involved, please contact Rehan D'Almeida, FinTech Australia’s Strategic Partnerships and Marketing Manager (rehan@fintechaustralia.org.au)
Intersekt 2019 highlights Intersekt 2019 was a resounding success, with over 700 delegates throughout the week and more than 130 presenters and panellists participating in the festival. Our seven satellite events allowed for a greater degree of engagement with their respective topics and our multiple social functions fostered an informal environment for relationship creation and networking. Collectively, this resulted in an overall event approval rate of 94.1% and 84.3% of attendees leaving the festival with a new business connection or having created a new opportunity (up from 63.1% in 2018). With this in mind, it is unsurprising that 90.2% of delegates said that they were likely to attend Intersekt. “Great to see lots of discussion in the breaks and a lot of collaboration between a number of key fintechs and the incumbents in the industry” Meredith Angwin Partner, EY “The networking at Intersekt has been really word-class. We found it welcoming and everyone’s been super open and friendly. You should come to Intersekt 2020 and meet the local ecosystem – you won’t regret it” Marie Steinthaler VP, TrueLayer
