Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.
Alhamdulillah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful and with His will we are here together to participate in the
online International Conference and Muktamar on Prophetic Sunnah (ICMAS 2021) with a theme Sunnah: Core
for Excellence in the Civilization of Ummah.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share a few words in this programme book. Congratulations to
KUIPSAS Academy of Hadith for the hard work in organizing this International Conference for the first time in
conjunction with KUIPSAS’s 25th Silver Jubilee celebration.
I hope this conference will give a positive impact to the development of the Ummah civilization through in-depth
research related to the Prophetic Sunnah SAW. This will ultimately provide the impetus for participants and
Islamic scholars to practice with knowledge and love of Rasulullah SAW and His struggle. Through ICMAS 2021,
it is also hoped that more Islamic scholars will be unveiled who are honest and diligent in contributing their
knowledge and wisdom for the benefit of the Ummah.
Furthermore, I would like to express my deepest appreciation and congratulations to all presenters and
participants from different countires including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Saudi
Arabia, Oman and Tunisia. I am confident that this 2-day presentation via webinar will stimuate new thoughts
and approaches to academicians, presenters and participants. Lastly, I hope that this conference will strengthen
the bonding among Muslims globally and provide benefits to all those involved.

Alhamdulillah, in the name of Allah SWT, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful. With His will, we are here
to take part in International Conference and Muktamar on Prophetic Sunnah (ICMAS 2021) from 28th to 29
January 2021.
ICMAS 2021 is organized to set a platform for knowledge discussion especially regarding Hadith and Sunnah
among Islamic scholars in the world including Malaysia. I believe this webinar conference will be the best
platform to promote Hadith as a source of Islamic syariah. At the same time, it will motivate the ummah to
practice the sunnah of Rasulullah SAW in their daily life.
As Muslim, it is our responsibility to spread and explain Islam to other people. This is how we prove our love to
our beloved Prophet, Muhammad SAW. From Anas bin Malik, the Prophet Muhammad SAW reportedly said:
“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” (Hadith
narrated by al-Bukhari).
I hope that ICMAS 2021 will highlight KUIPSAS Academy of Hadith as the center of excellence in Malaysia,
Insya-Allah. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone in making the conference a reality. And I hope that
ICMAS 2021 will continue to be an annual event for KUIPSAS Academy of Hadith.
It is hoped that ICMAS 2021 will produce more Hadith experts in order to preserve the sunnah of our Prophet.
Hopefully the cooperation between KUIPSAS and MUIP will continue to be strenghtened in the future.
Lastly, thank you very much to all presenters, participants and committee members for organizing this

In the name of Allah SWT, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful, we would like to extend our gratitude for making
this online International Conference and Muktamar on Prophetic Sunnah (ICMAS 2021) possible today.
This first International Conference and Muktamar on Prophetic Sunnah (ICMAS 2021) is organized by KUIPSAS
Academy of Hadith in collaboration with the Faculty of Islamic Studies, KUIPSAS and Pahang Islamic Religious
and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) in conjunction with 25th Silver Jubilee of KUIPSAS. It gives me great pleasure
to say that this high impact program is conducted despite the COVID-19 pandemic. My deepest gratitude to all
presenters for being positive and willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
In Islam, hadith is not merely a source of shariah but it is the main foundation to build civilization. In relation
to that, Sunnah: Core for Excellence in the Civilization of Ummah is selected as the theme for ICMAS 2021 to
uphold our Prophet sunnah as the basic pillar of Islam as well as highlighting the role and the strength of
Hadith in the development of civilization and solving problems in line with current needs.
As the host, I would like to welcome all ICMAS 2021 presenters and participants from Malaysia, Indonesia,
Brunei, Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia and countries. I hope all participants of
the conference will gain rewarding experience from all hadith studies presented during the event. I also hope
that the bonding we have experienced today will last forever as stipulated by Islam.
Lastly, I would like to extend my gratitude to YAB Menteri Besar Pahang, Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail,

Alhamdulillah, deepest gratitude to the Almighty for his blessing in giving us this opportunity to organize the
International Conference and Muktamar On Prophetic Sunnah (ICMAS 2021) in conjunction with KUIPSAS 25th
silver Jubilee today.
This conference aims to glorify the Sunnah of the Prophet as the main foundation for the civilization of
the Ummah. It means the Muslims are able to achieve excellence in this world and the Hereafter if they
uphold Al Quran and Sunnah. It is hoped that academic discussion, integrative and holistic interactions among
the presenters will generate solutions especially in educating society of the role of Hadith in our daily life.
Furthermore, it is the responsibility of Islamic scholars to clarify the understanding of the Sunnah to the
society.
We are all aware of the spread of ideologies such as materialism, hedonism, liberalism, pluralism and others
in our society. It has become the biggest threat to upholding the Sunnah of the Prophet in our society. Due to
that, the Islamic scholars need to come out with an effective plan to repel attacks and false accusations towards
Rasulullah SAW.
It is hoped that this conference, despite being held online, will strengthen the bond between presenters and
participants from various countries. With this, I would like to call upon all Muslims around the world to hold on
strongly to our beliefs and practices of Islam.

BACKGROUND

• The expansion of Islamic studies from a long ago until today seems to show a satisfactory achievement in
every field of study including the study of Sunnah Nabawiah. Nevertheless, Islamic scholars are expected
to strive harder in highlighting the importance of the study of Sunnah Nabawiah in developing the
civilization of Muslim community. In relation to this, the understanding of the community with regards to
concept of integrated knowledge nowadays needs be strengthened.
• Integration of knowledge is among the mediums where researchers seek understanding of this phenomenon
in a wider scope. This means that regardless of the situation in which the Muslim communities are, Islamic
scholars are seen to always have the ability to explore and analyse every issue and problem based on
a comprehensive and integrated view in line with Islamic principles which seek no separation between
worldly knowledge and the knowledge of the hereafter or between the Fardhu Kifayah and Fardhu Ain. In
other words, Hadith studies shall not be seen as separated to other Islamic studies.
• The specialty of ICMAS 2021 is that ICMAS 2021 focuses on the concept of Integrated Knowledge. Research
topics to be presented are not confined only within the boundary of Sunnah instead they are interconnected
with numerous other fields of studies. In referring to the concept of the true Islamic knowledge, both the
Qur’an and Hadith are the two main sources that act as the bases in conducting researches as well as
developing other fields of sciences or knowledge in an effort to make this world which belongs to Allah
prosper.
• From another perspective, is facing the challenges of current trends of thinking and the advancement in
technology which are moving forward constantly. Ideas and theories coming from this modernisation are
spread fast and wide with the help of technology. Such ideas may dilute the community from their deen
and as such the Hadith and Sunnah are now being challenged as a main source of Islam. This phenomenon
would not make the scholars satisfied with their existing achievements and instead, work harder and
smarter in proving that Islam is the best and that Islam is relevant for all times.
• The main objective in organising ICMAS 2021 is to provide a scientific digital platform in discussing
knowledge on the field of Prophetic Sunnah in an integrative and holistic manner. ICMAS 2021 will
also become a virtual platform for Islamic scholars to share their knowledge, solve issues and build a
bond among presenters and participants. Moreover, our hope from this programme is to ensure that a
positive impact can be achieved from the efforts of developing the civilization of the Muslim community
through the scrutinization of high knowledge. All in all, this will later on create a strong impact among
the participants as well as the Islamic scholars to do more with knowledge, have a deeper compassion
for Rasulullah S.A.W and his fight for the Muslim community, and hence making them more sincere and
enthusiastic in upholding the religion of Islam for the welfare of Muslim community in this world and the
hereafter.
• ICMAS 2021 is a program organized by Academy of Hadith KUIPSAS in collaboration with Faculty of Islamic
