    TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!
   The library will be open Mon-Fri   8am – 4:30pm

   THE SLO LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED DECEMBER 21st – JANUARY 3rd

   You MUST return all items (library chromebooks, etc.) by December 18th @ 4:30pm

SLO: up in the library for electronics i.e. laptops, smart pens, and calculators OR the
BOOK DROP (No librarians available today – must walk inside to staff working at
information desk.)

NCC: up in the student services bldg. or in the library drop box.
Returning CaFE laptops

    Please contact either Dee (NC) or Corinna (SLO) to
     schedule a time to return your laptop or equipment to
     campus
Spring 2021 Books – EOPS
   Book assistance will be $250 (same as last semester).
   Process: Students must wait until grades roll and the Tech’s send an
    email stating they can use their funds at the Bookstore.
   Purchasing books will be the same process. (There will be more
    information coming about digital access codes and possible payment
    for those.)
   *NOTE: If you receive a PROBATION email, you must work through this
    process before receiving book assistance.
EOPS Probation

   If you are under a 2.0 GPA for the semester, you are on EOPS Probation.

   If you did not make your 3 Contacts with an Academic Counselor, you are
    on EOPS Probation.

   If you are on EOPS Probation, you will receive an email after grades roll
    with instructions on what to do next.

(Be sure you are checking your email starting January 4th so as not to miss
important information!)
Spring 2021 books:
     Psych Tech – contact us IMMEDIATELY as you begin January 4th

     CalWORKS – You MUST submit your ES-7 monthly participation hours
      for Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec in order to receive book assistance from
      DSS.

Get your 2021 Student ID!
In order for students to receive their spring student ID, they need to
submit a student ID request form.

Once students submit the form, their spring 2021 student ID card or
sticker will be mailed within 1-2 weeks. Requests will be processed
starting January 13.

Promise students - the ID card fee is covered under the Promise and
they should add the ID card when registering for classes. If they
already registered and didn’t include the ID card, they can always go
back and add the card.

Returning Student Info Sessions Spring 2021

     We will be doing our returning student info sessions for Spring 2021
      on January 13th and 14th.

     There will be a morning and afternoon session both days.

     Pick which works best for you or attend all FOUR! 

     CARES Act Emergency Grant (still accepting applications)
    The federal CARES Act includes funds for students to help with immediate needs
     related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
    The CARES Act Emergency Grant program has limited funding. Students will be
     awarded grants as long as funds remain available.
    Eligibility: Based on guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Education
     for disbursement of CARES Act funds, students must meet basic eligibility criteria
     for federal financial aid (Title IV Eligibility)
     * No longer a requirement for “on campus” class, If you did not receive for Fall,
      please let us know ASAP!!! (Note: not eligible if appealing until approved.)

    Courtyard at the Meadows is a brand new 36 unit apartment complex with 1, 2
     and 3 bedroom affordable apartments located at 3175 Violet Street, San Luis
     Obispo within the beautiful Serra Meadows Community. It is conveniently located
     near Prado Road and Higuera Street and minutes from schools, parks, downtown
     SLO, and the 101. The property has an estimated completion date of July

    Halcyon Collective is a brand new 20 unit apartment complex with 1, 2 and 3
     bedroom affordable apartments located at 224 S. Halcyon Road in Arroyo
     Grande. It is a short drive to Pismo Beach, walking distance to elementry schools,
     the high school, shopping, a hospital and restaurants. All units are currently filled

With the recent arrival of freezing overnight
temperatures, ECHO has partnered with several
organizations to provide emergency shelter to
those facing homelessness this winter.

With a facility each in Paso Robles and
Atascadero, the two emergency shelters offer a
safe, warm place to sleep for the night. A hot
meal and outreach services from ECHO are
provided to guests.

The 40-bed Paso Robles facility is a partnership
between ECHO, People's Self Help Housing and
the Housing Authority of SLO County. Funding
for the shelters was provided by the State of
California. The 20-bed Atascadero facility
location is generously provided by Community
Church of Atascadero.

    CARES emergency money again for Spring 2021 on January 11th .

   Julie from Financial Aid confirmed that those needing to do CCPG
    paper work for Fall 2020 have until June 30th of 2021.

   Shay mentioned free breakfast Sunday mornings at Big Bubbas BBQ
    in Paso Robles. (See info to the right.)
