OUR WORlD Nomadic is a journey that puts value back into TIME , to the leisurely flow of time in the land of Puglia, a drifting body in the heart of the Mediterranean. Nomadic journey is SHARING, moving on an imaginary stage to the slow pace of a traveling caravan. EATART The stories and history of the land always speak of beauty. Beauty of art. Beauty of food. Both of them naturally present within the culture of the land and thus should be presented and experienced in unison, as we have always done within the family. Eatart is nothing but discovering the splendid reality of local art and craftsmanship, meeting the most distinguished artisans of the area, touching stone, ceramic, paper and all of the raw materials given by the land and magically combining them with all the other gifts that nature has to offer, from the lustrous green oil derived from our centuries-old olive trees to the best grapes of the territory, from seasonal produce of the land to the excellence of our Mediterranean diet. Eatart is our own way to tell the story of this land.

Rock and Roll in Puglia Rock and Roll in Puglia is a day dedicated to the earth of Puglia, in terms of the stone and rocks, which represent the basic element for local people (from the Neolithic age till now) to build everything around them. City walls, palaces, castles, countryside houses, churches, simple houses, cemeteries. Every single corner of Puglia is made out of the local stone, earth and blood of this region. We will touch the stone, meet local artists, listen to their stories while surrounded by a “total-white”, “moon-like” atmosphere, inside different kind of quarries, from the active to the abandoned ones, where the powers of nature acted for decades turning those previously surreal moonscapes into amazing green forests. This “garden of heaven” will also be the perfect stage for our lunch, a noble picnic, an elegant showcase of strictly local delicacies and wine, served by our chef right in the middle of this verdant jungle, so to speak. Off the beaten path THE GREEK SOUL OF PUGLIA Whenever you think about the history and culture of Puglia, you can’t ignore the Byzantine dominion which had influenced the social, political and cultural fate of this region for centuries. An influence that still holds strong within the territory around Lecce. For a day, you will find yourself suspended in space and time, immersed in the greenery of the centuries-old olive trees and the rare forests of evergreen oak, surrounded by landscapes of stone while enjoying light picnics along the ancient trails once travelled by the Romans and Byzantines. Tactile Tales of Puglia One of the major problems when dealing with tactility concerns the imprecision of this notion. Tactility is not only the experience of touching with hands and feet, but includes lots of other active or passive, conscious or unconscious epidermal contacts and feelings. The land of Puglia offers endless chances to experience tactility: the temperature of the stone surrounding all the classic villages, the slow rhythms of the locals’s life , the vibrations of the architecture of the coastal towns, the kinaesthetic sensation of walking through the small alleys of the cities ,the feeling of the countryside pulse of ancient grapes and olive trees. The tactile perception of Puglia is multi-layered. Places, people, food, history, culture, traditions ,materials. Those elements and their inner movements, pulse and rhythms can be magically combined to a new level of experience. The way we want you to experience this part of Italy is a continuous sensory stimulation, a surprising balance between buildings, cities, landscapes on the one hand, and our bodies, on the other hand, that will dramatically influence your way to live and feel the region. Terra One cannot think that they truly understand this land in the Mediterranean, without ever having enjoyed, at least once in their lifetime, an entire day immersed in the shapes, colours, scents and stunning scenery that every corner of the countryside can offer. Sacred places for the locals, a land praised for bearing fruit, food, oil and wine. A land kissed by the sun and caressed by the sea in a perfect combination of elements that will always remain the greatest source of prosperity for this corner of the Earth. Admire the produce of the land while getting to know the families that for generations have safeguarded the secrets of a laborious agricultural life but at the same time reaping what is healthy, natural, and simple as is the spirit of the people in Puglia. A tiny plot of land that does not suffer with the evolution of time and seems still, magically frozen in a dimension of simplicity and perfection which in other parts of the world is hard to come by.
The wine experience Puglia has finally earned worldwide recognition for its exceptional wines. After many years of being used as a blending wine enhancing the depth, color and body of lesser quality wines produced in the north of Italy and France, Puglia now boasts 27 different DOC areas and some excellent indigenous grape varieties. The hot Mediterranean climate, persistent sunshine and sea breezes make for a near-perfect environment for viticulture. The “wine Experience” will be a day of tasting some of the finest locally produced and internationally known wines, surrounded by the typical rocky countryside of the region, during a “countryside walking tour” along our “valley of silence”, a land populated by unique species of birds and butterflies, ancient monumental fruit and oak trees as well as Neolithic scenarios of Dolmen and Menhir still standing in the middle of nowhere after thousands of years. Once Upon a time in Puglia Without question, we live in a fast-moving time. New technology, new discoveries, new news flood us on a daily basis. It is therefore not surprising that so many of us are seeking balance in our day-to-day lives, finding moments to slow down and appreciate the lives we lead. Well! Puglia gives us a golden chance to experience slow living. The theatrical scenario of the region’s countryside will be our natural stage for a day. The unicity will be choosing to engage in slow pleasure: a ride on board of a Fiat 500 classic vintage car along bucolic routes, a stroll down the main street of an ancient village on the back of a horse, un outdoor picnic under the shadow of monumental oaks, a stop for a chat with your new friends, an enjoyable aperitivo to recount your day with a glass of wine and a bowl of olives. Valle d’Itria The garden of heaven Nothing more than Puglia’s countryside speaks about the local history and culture. For a day we want you to witness how this special part of the world transforms vegetables, grapevines, whole grains, almonds, wild herbs, fish, and meat into authentic cuisine. From the narrow white streets around the village of Ostuni to the never-ending lush green olive groves that surround this region, ending into a 500-year-old Masseria, whose 100 acres of olive groves have produced olive oil for centuries. You will learn to distinguish the range of flavours, blends bouquets and color qualities of different olive oils, as well as, how to pair them with various foods. Then we will magically enter a botanical garden, a real hidden gem in the heart of Valle d’Itria with the largest selection of fruit trees - over a thousand! We will take our time sauntering through the magical garden while picking fresh fruits and vegetables that we will later have the delight of tasting at lunch at a nearby restaurant where the local chef will be the perfect ambassador of the “slow food” culture in this part of the region. Love boat in Otranto For centuries, the town of Otranto , a “white pearl” right on the Mediterranean sea, has been Italy’s direct access to the east as it is easternmost city of the whole nation. We will be visiting the unique Mediterranean-style old city while a boat awaits us for an unforgettable day sailing south along the east side of the peninsula and stopping by Puglia’s most spectacular spots, including heavenly natural bays carved in the rock by the wind and seawater and resembling natural swimming pools or astonishing caves and grottoes to dive into and take a swim in the crystalline water. A seafood lunch will be served right on the boat by our local chef while a final afternoon aperitif will be enjoyed upon arrival at the harbour of Leuca. CRUDO of PUGLIA Puglia is surrounded by the Mediterranean sea and most of this land’s culture in fishing and sailing comes from the area of Bari. No one else knows how to prepare what is known as “Italian Crudo” as the people of Bari do - a unique appetizer of local raw seafood and fish. We will visit the old city of Bari and travel along the coastline to fully understand this great marine culture hidden in the everyday life of the locals and their marvelous villages. At lunch we can experience this tantalizing cuisine enjoying fish and wine at one of the most authentic local restaurants. We will spend an afternoon of relaxation along the coast followed by a visit to the famous village of Polignano a Mare, where we will meet a local artisan devoted to the art of glassmaking and who nowadays represents the highest level of Puglia’s artistic scene. Red Tuna and other stories from the Mediterranean sea Tuna are the biggest, fastest, warmest-blooded, warmest- bodied fish in the world. And quite possibly the most tasty. Everybody eats tuna and everybody loves it. The Japanese regards a slice of uncooked bride red tuna as the most delectable food item it is possible to eat. But most people see tuna in a can or on a plate while few of us have ever had the opportunity to fish for giant tuna. Sharing a day with Puglia’s local fishermen could be the unexpected moment of your holiday. You’ll be on board of a specific fishing boat for an authentic day of red Tuna fishing, learning about the fishermen skills together with the unicity of this noble fish typical of the Mediterranean sea. Coast to Coast: Dolce Vita around the peninsula With a network of well-maintained roads that weave through a splendid landscape of sandy beaches and azure seas, plunging coastlines, lakes and historic towns, Puglia coastline offers plenty of epic driving along more then 800 km, Italy longest coastline , if we exclude the two main islands of the nation. The region is nothing but the heel to Italy’s boot, a crescendo of unique scenarios running from north to south, from the east to the west, most of them above the mediterranean sea in superb panoramic positions. Delightful old towns, historical fortress islands, white-washed villages, mediterranean rocky countryside filled with red mulberry, prickly pears and figs trees, Arcadian hills carpeted with olive groves and vineyards, sea-front protected marine areas and nature reserves, magnificent sea-sculpted white cliffs, transparent waters and sandy beaches, natural lakes immersed in wonderful mediterranean pine woods. A spectacular energetic day around this serpentine coastal path where we will be like sunflowers following the natural movement of the sun, starting on the east coast in the morning and magically ending with a last aperitive at sunset on the west coast.
