Hansen Student Center 8:30am – 12:00pm - Alumni Association Annual Meeting with the Alumni Association Board of Directors The Alumni Association Board of Directors is the representative body of the IWU Alumni Association. All IWU alumni are members of the Association and are invited to attend. Memorial Center, Vinyard Room 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Parent and Family Leadership Council Meeting PFLC is a volunteer board with Illinois Wesleyan University connecting parents with University leadership to enhance the student experience. Only current members may attend, however, if you are interested in joining the council please stop by for more information or email echamber@iwu.edu. Memorial Center, Vinyard Room 1:00pm – 4:00pm - Ames Library Through the Years. See a display of Ames Library history and celebrate the new Center for Engaged Learning located on the first floor of the library. University librarians will be on hand to discuss how the library has evolved over its 20 years on campus. Ames Library Back to College Classes All classes will be held at The Ames Library, Beckman Auditorium. 1:00 – 1:50pm – 2021 Outstanding Young Alumni Award Winner Luis Cabrales-Vasquez ’15 2:00 – 2:50pm - 2021 Loyalty Award Winner Kathleen Larey Lewton ’70, “Taking a Kick at the Glass Ceiling” Join Kathy and other women of the Class of 1970 as they discuss their experiences pushing back on the barriers women have faced in business, education and society. 3:00 – 3:50pm - 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award Winner Dr. William Farrar ’71 “Pioneering the future of cancer care: 50 years of lessons learned from Dr. William Farrar '71, CEO of The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute ("The James")” Dr. Farrar ‘71 will share his incredible journey from IWU to becoming the CEO of one of the nation’s top cancer hospitals. Dr. Farrar will discuss the many ways breast cancer treatment and prevention has evolved over his illustrious 50-year career. 3:00 – 4:30pm - Council for IWU Women Reception Council for IWU Women will gather to hear updates on upcoming events and programs. Ames Terrace 3:00 – 4:00pm - Alumni Career Panel hosted by the Hart Career Center Social Justice is front and center in the work we do. Join a group of talented alumni from various career fields who will share their experiences and how they live out their values.
