Ilia State University Mission The mission of Ilia State University is to create, transfer and apply knowledge for the purposes of scientific advancement and societal development at the local as well as at the international level. 4 Schools School of Arts and Sciences is one of the oldest academic schools at Ilia State University that offers interdisciplinary education at all levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral) basing its curricula on liberal arts education model. School of Natural Sciences and Engineering is a new but a rapidly growing school at Ilia State University reorganized in 2014 offering programs at all three levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral) to students and researchers. School of Business is a prestigious destination for studies and research offering general, specialized and practical knowledge at all levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral) to the students, including English-language programs, while developing leaders in many business fields. School of Law was established to prepare legal knowledge workers and practitioners. The School has emerged one of the successful centers for legal education in Georgia.

Pascal Prize o ISU encourages young researchers to publish their research papers in high impact journals and annually awards Pascal Prize in the sum of 3000 Georgian Lari to selected scientists. o 16 young scholars have been awarded Pascal Prize since its launch in 2014.

Science and Technology Iliauni FabLab is a small-scale workshop venue offering digital and general computer fabrication equipped with 3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutters, and other computer controlled tools. FabLab was established with the support from Georgian Technology and Innovation Agency and offers ISU and partner university students, general public, and industry partners to fabricate digitally technology-enabled products and create smart devices that will be used in teaching and education purposes integrated into curriculum and extra-curricular activities, innovation and entrepreneurship, sales and marketing while distributing products in the relevant market and to the industry partners. ISU Game Lab, founded with the support of GITA allows access to contemporary and up-to-date technologies such as hardware and materials for producing innovative mobile and computer games by ISU students under the supervision of our partner Storm Bringer Studios, conducting game-related research and creating commercializable and potentially patentable products.
Science Popularization o Iliauni Science Picnic - is one of the largest and most successful annual outdoor events organized by Ilia State University since 2012 which aims at popularizing science among various age groups. The event attracts more than 10000 visitors every year. o Iliauni Science Café – thousands of public events have been held o Iliauni Young explorers’ Clubs Network - unites science teachers and school children with different scientific interests from around Georgia to conduct various experiments, contact other clubs, exchange ideas and improve critical and creative thinking abilities.
Social responsibility projects Child Development Institute is a multifunctional and multi profile unit at Ilia State University, which creates a space for education, research and quality services in the domain of child and adolescents’ development. The Institute unites the following centers: » Preschool and Inclusive Education Center » Practical Center for Education, Consulting and Rehabilitation of Children with Special Needs » Early Childhood Development Center » Autism Center The institute provides service to 189 children and adolescents with special needs Through private donations the institute recently established: » A sensory room » VR Laboratory
Online Iliauni o ISU established educational video portal in 2015 o Around 60 Video Lectures are already uploaded and ready for viewers o Online program in „Georgian as a Foreign Language” is under development

Black Sea Universities Network In 2016 Ilia State University became the President of Black Sea Universities Network BSUN unites more than 150 HEIs from 10 countries
