2022 THEME I MY CHURCH: THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME HEBREWS 10:23-25 2022 | CHURCH MINISTRY PLAN DR. FREDRICC GERARD & DR. KAN'DACE L. BROCK LEAD PASTORS WWW.THEMESSAGESA.ORG
2022 THEME SCRIPTURE Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. - Hebrews 10:23-25
THE LEAD PASTORS' INTENT INTENT [in'tent]: resolved or determined to do something The intent of this document is to outline what constitutes success for The Message Church in 2022. In 2020, we were "Clarifying the Vision." In 2021, we shouted from the rooftops, "I'm Still Standing!" In 2022, we are emphasizing our love in action for God's local assembly of Christ-followers...the church. There truly is 'No place like home!' As the saying goes, "Home is where the heart is." We believe that 2022 is the year for us to further embrace God's call to express our Christ- like love for the local church. These expressions of love include but are not limited to, building unity in the church and financially supporting our quest to secure and furnish a home for TMC. This ministry plan is designed to help us imagine what we act upon our love for The Message Church...together. Furthermore, this document provides a framework to continue transforming The Message Church and supporters into a forward-thinking mission-focused team. If you love TMC, say these words with us, "I love my church! There's no place like home!" With Love for God and You, Dr. Brock & Dr. K Dr. Fredricc Gerard and Dr. Kan'Dace L. Brock Lead Pastors
Our vision defines who we are striving to become. Our mission refers to what we do – our purpose and reason the Kingdom of God needs our best efforts. Our values define the culture we are creating. Our Vision We want to see whole people be whole. Our vision is to glorify God by changing lives and changing the world through the proclamation of the Message of Jesus Christ. Our Mission Our mission is to proclaim the Message of Jesus Christ: In Our Worship Through the Word With Our Witness Our Values Real (Credible) Our God is real. God wants to have a relationship with you. Our worship opportunities are designed to nurture your relationship with God. Relevant (Contextual) All of God's Word speaks to all of life. We seek to reflect this reality in our words, worship, and witness. Relational (Compassionate) Life can be hard. Doing life in isolation can be harder. At TMC, we believe in the value of God-ordained connections. Every Christ follower should be connected, present, and active in a local church.

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES At the core of TMC's ministry plan are two strategic priorities that will guide our decision-making over the next year. Through the actualization of these priorities, The Message Church will continue to "change lives and change the world." Priority 1: Building Unity and Commitment in the Church A. Commit to actively engaging our virtual and in-person worship, leadership, and fellowship opportunities. Example: Attend 6 worship and discipleship opportunities per month. B. Commit to taking our own spiritual development seriously through daily prayer, reading, and devotion. Example: Join our Thursday morning prayer call each week. Specify daily times to read your Bible and pray, listen to a Christian podcast, and/or go for a prayer walk. C. Commit to praying for the strength, wisdom, and endurance of our Lead Pastors, Executive Leadership Team, Deacons, and ministry leaders. Example: Start a prayer list in the notes section of your phone. As the Holy Spirit leads, call our church leaders by name when you pray. If you are blessed by a sermon, teaching, or song, send the Messenger responsible an encouraging email, text, or phone call.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES CONT. Priority 2: Securing a Physical Home for The Message A. Commit to full engagement of our times of corporate fasting, prayer, and meditation. This is crucial to us being on one accord. Example: Partner with another Messenger to read the designated scriptures and pray when we fast. Print the prayer and fasting calendar and place it in a high-traffic area of your home as a visible reminder. B. Commit to consistently giving, above your tithe, to the Building Fund. Big ministry takes big money. God is able. So are we, through Christ. Example: Review your personal budget and decide on a sacrificial amount that you can give weekly or monthly toward the building fund. If there are things you hope to understand more about TMC's vision, schedule a time to meet with our Lead Pastors for a conversation. C. Commit to inviting your friends and family to experience TMC. In daily conversations, including social media sharing, spread the word about why you love TMC. Example: Each time you view the service on Facebook, share the live feed and invite your friends to the service. Save our service advertisements to your phone and use them to text invitations to your friends, family, and/or coworkers about worship and fellowship opportunities.
