MEDIA FACT SHEET | DESTINATION NSW ATE 2017 HOTEL NEWS IN SYDNEY AND NSW Sydney is already home to some of Australia’s best hotels and, with demand from increasing visitor numbers set to continue, a hotel boom is underway with 7,100 new rooms under construction or approved for development and open for business by 20221. New and refurbished hotels by the harbour, luxury makeovers and quality boutique offerings are giving visitors to Sydney and Regional NSW just what they want – accommodation in desirable locations, with a choice of styles and price points, and the latest and best hi-tech gadgets. CENTRE OF THE ACTION In the city centre, the stunning $12 million redesign of Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney on Pitt Street is now complete. As well as new events and meeting spaces, the heritage hotel’s dazzling facelift included its 364 boutique-style rooms, restaurants, bars and business lounge. In The Rocks, the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is taking advantage of its location by opening Lounge 32, private residential-style haven of luxury, reserved for guests booking a Club room or Club suite on the top floors of the hotel. Meanwhile, the Tank Stream Hotel, Sydney, is attracting guests with its ‘all inclusive’ rate concept and central CBD location on the corner of Pitt and Hunter streets.
