FROM THE Grieving Heart Dear Jasmine Jade Jordan, God gave you your wings before we were ready, It brings us peace knowing, with God, you are with already. From the moment we found out who you were, A blessing from God, to us, you will always be, Great parents we would be, this we were sure. There will never be a day we will not remember thee. We got the news that told us the sex, We were told you were diagnosed with Monosomy X. Just remember, of Life, God is always the author, We love you so much our beautiful, courageous daughter. Overwhelmed and scared of what to expect, Watch over your mom and I until we see you again, That did not matter to us, you were perfect. In Our Lords name we pray, Amen! Tears filled our eyes, your future we started to plan, The smallest little gift, that felt so grand. Love, Mommy & Daddy You were 1 in 2000, special from the rest, This poem was written by Nycki and Brian Jordan Your mom and I stayed strong, praying for the best. following the loss of their baby, Jasmine Jade Jordan, Embracing each other for the difficult road ahead, of Monosomy X. Nycki and Brian wanted to share their You were in God's hands, on His path He led! story in order to help other parents and families who have also experienced in utero loss. We thank Nycki and Brian for sharing this beautiful poem. As your father, I wish there was more that I could do, Though, out of my control, still excited for your debut. Your mom gave it her all, while changing for the best, She never gave up hope, how you fought, she was impressed. 20 weeks in we got the news no parent wants to hear, Our biggest fear came true, your heartbeat would disappear. Devastated in disbelief, confused as to why, God called you home before we could hear you cry. I held your moms hand while your birth was still, Your fight has come to an end, this was God's will. You brought us so much joy in such a small amount of time, Us knowing the stairway to Heaven, alone, you had to climb. 5
