Hope by Max I was walking down the streets of London thinking what a better life I could have, when I saw this picture. It was a girl reaching out for a balloon drawn onto an old grey bridge, next to it, it said “there is always hope”. The words repeated in my head over and over again. I had hope on my side I just knew it, I could soon have a roof over my head if I just set my mind to it. I knew what I had to do, it was like the picture told me, I started to look for some place where I could get some money to buy some clothes. I looked everywhere to find some old things I could sell for a bit of money. I was successful and at the end of the day I had enough money to buy myself a suit to wear for work, I began looking for a job, and after a couple of weeks somebody wanted me at their car business, and I took the offering. The next morning, I rushed to the trains and I just managed to jump into it, I thought “after a couple of weeks I could have my own department.” I was very happy at this point, and my first day of work went brilliant. And all this was only because of a picture. There Is Always Hope by Lyra If you’re hanging over the edge of a cliff, If you’re moments away from losing your loved ones, If you’re tumbling down the path of sorrow, There is always hope If you’re stood outside the office door awaiting your fate, If you’re walking up the steps towards your new life, If you’re standing in the middle of a crowded street, There is always hope If you’re stood at the side lines watching your parents grow old, If you’re stranded in the middle of the ocean, If your heart is starting to slow, There is always hope If you’re stood in the middle of a lonely street, If you’re making your way to death or to life, If you’re watching a balloon float into the sky, Remember There is always hope.
